Today I give you a literary text of my authorship,

A través del espejo prisión: El Museo del Reflejo

Tras una semana muy larga y llena de trabajo, al fin podía descansar el fin de semana. No esperaba visitas y toda mi correspondencia estaba en casa. Aun así había sonado el timbre.


Al abrir la puerta principal… no había nadie. Sin embargo una larga y pesada caja de cartón estaba en el suelo con mi nombre escrito en ella. Sin rastro alguno del que lo haya entregado, decidí entrar con él al recibidor y cerrar la puerta con llave.


Al abrir el paquete supe que se trataba de un espejo largo y bien pulido, tenía un tallado en madera muy elaborado y hermoso. Sobre él había una tarjeta con algo escrito.


Felicidades. Está usted cordialmente invitado al Museo del Reflejo. Por favor, acepte este hermoso espejo como invitación a la inauguración. Si cree que se ha cometido un error, por favor acepte nuestras disculpas y reenvíe el paquete en perfectas condiciones a la dirección grabada al dorso de esta tarjeta.


Amaba los museos, así que no me parecía un error o una molestia aceptar la invitación. Decidí colgar el espejo cerca del pasillo que conduce a mi habitación.


A media noche luego de ir al baño, observé que mi gata de pelaje negro miraba fijamente el espejo y bufaba muy arisca. Me acerqué y no vi nada extraño o un bicho que pudiera estar llamando su atención.


De pronto, al igual que una roca cayendo en medio de un lago, se formaron ondas como agua en el espejo. Me asusté mucho y retrocedí. Pero la curiosidad me llevó a acercar mi mano y hundirla dentro. Se sentía viscoso y frío. Pero cuando intenté retirarla en un segundo fui absorbida por completo con la fuerza de un huracán.


Lentamente recobré la consciencia. Me sentía pesada y tenía mucho frío. Fue entonces cuando lo vi.


Estaba en una especie de museo con millones de espejos colgados en las paredes y dentro de cada uno había personas. Estábamos todos atrapados.


Y entonces un hombre se acercó a mi espejo riendo.


-Así que tú eres la nueva invitada. Bienvenida al Museo del Reflejo.

Through the Looking Glass Prison: The Museum of Reflection

After a very long and busy week, I was finally able to rest for the weekend. I wasn't expecting visitors and all my mail was at home. Yet the doorbell had rung.


When I opened the front door... no one was there. However a long, heavy cardboard box was on the floor with my name written on it. With no sign of whoever had delivered it, I decided to walk into the foyer with it and lock the door.


When I opened the package I knew that it was a long and well polished mirror, it had a very elaborate and beautiful wood carving. On it was a card with something written on it.


Congratulations. You are cordially invited to the Museum of Reflection. Please accept this beautiful mirror as an invitation to the opening. If you believe a mistake has been made, please accept our apologies and return the package in perfect condition to the address engraved on the back of this card.


I loved museums, so it didn't seem like a mistake or a bother to accept the invitation. I decided to hang the mirror near the hallway leading to my room.


In the middle of the night after going to the bathroom, I noticed my black-furred cat staring at the mirror and snorting very surly. I approached and didn't see anything strange or a critter that might be getting her attention.


Suddenly, like a rock falling in the middle of a lake, ripples formed like water on the mirror. I was scared out of my wits and backed away. But curiosity led me to reach out my hand and plunge it in. It felt slimy and cold. But when I tried to withdraw it in a second I was sucked in completely with the force of a hurricane.


I slowly regained consciousness. I felt heavy and very cold. It was then that I saw it.


I was in some kind of museum with millions of mirrors hanging on the walls and inside each one were people. We were all trapped.


And then a man came up to my mirror laughing.


-So you are the new guest. Welcome to the Museum of Reflection.
