This is my pen drawing of a beautiful African woman, built entirely with layered strokes to capture her confidence and calm presence. I focused on the shine of her bare head, the depth in her glasses, and the subtle textures of her skin. The simplicity of pen brings out every shadow and highlight, letting her personality stand out without distractions. A portrait that shows strength, style, and softness all at once.
I would sharing my steps and processes archiving this drawing.
Step1
Started with my sketch and outlined keeping the lines faint
Step2
Started shading and applying details with my pen on the forehead and eye brows
Step3
Worked and shaded the nose and eyes as this are one of the most important facial features.
Step4
The cheeks and chin area was been worked on at this stage.
Step5
Proceeded with the mouth, the drawing really looked busy at this stage but I trusted the process
Step6
The neck and outfit was the next step I took to make the drawing look alive
Step7
Worked on the shoulders arm area and added some highlights with my white pen which was the end product of our drawing.
Pen drawing take a lot of time and patience some times you spend about 2 days for a work but this work specifically to about 15 hours for me to do .
Materials used.
