Completed 10K Amartha Run

Hi, Hive runners... How was your weekend? Today I completed the 10K race of the Amartha Run event. This was my third 10K event, and since I had prepared well by training twice a week with varying distances, I was at least prepared for today. Because the venue is close to where Vivi lives, since yesterday, I had stayed at Vivi's house so that I wouldn't be late for the venue.

Since the flag off was at 06.05am, Vivi and I started to leave an hour earlier. We deliberately came early so we could get ready; put our bags in the drop bag, warm up, and soak up the situation at the starting line.

Because I was at the front of the pack, I felt like I was running a pretty fast pace, 6:13 until kilometre 3, my pace was steady around 6. After kilometre 4 I slowed down a bit to a pace of 7 then every time my pace seemed to go up and down between 6 and 7.

I felt mentally drained at kilometre 8, I don't know if I felt like I was running too hard. The last two days I've been feeling a bit flu-like, so at kilometre 8 for some reason that critical phase happened again. If you read my post about Anggrek Jingga Kajen Run, there I also felt my critical phase at kilometre 8. LOL

Fortunately, this race was a lot of fun, there were many cheering teams along the 10-kilometre stretch. one of the things I photographed was the cheer team of hadroh ladies, hadroh is a kind of Islamic music. This is very rare. Another cheering team was the traditional Inoesia musih team, but I didn't take a picture. I just focused on running and controlling my mind to be well-suggested.

Finally, I was able to enter the finish line at 1:12:27 with a verage pace of 7:03/km. Although there has not been significant progress, I am still grateful to get results that are not far from when I trained. I just need to train harder, be more consistent, and be better at managing time, diet, and exercise patterns. Thank you for your support, thank you for reading my posts. See you next run...
