D-Day of Amartha Run 10 K

Hi Hive Runners... I hope you all will do your best to run. Push your limit!

Finally, the awaited day arrived, Amartha Run 10K. For the past two weeks, I have been doing routine training. In total, there were 6 training sessions with short distances. I originally thought I could do the training 7 times, but some matters thwarted the 7th training. Two days before the Amartha Race, I chose to take a rest.

I was so nervous on D-day Amartha Run. This is my third 10 KM but I still felt nervous. Even though I was accompanied by Titis, I still felt even more nervous because you know, I am still a beginner compared to other runners.

I didn't have much preparation for the Amartha Run. 1 day before the Race, I was a little unwell, I had a cough. Just a cough, no headache so I could force myself to continue participating in the Amartha Race. After finishing my work at 11 P.M I went straight to bed to keep my condition fit the next day.

  • Early Morning and Warming UP

Titis and I woke up early, according to the time we had set, which was 3.45 A.M. Only 15 minutes to check our phones, and then prepare to go to the venue. At around 5 A.M. we arrived at the venue by online motorcylce (I don’t know how to call it). Flag Off will be held at around 6 A.M. Since we arrived an hour before the flag-off, we did some self-warming and looked around. We were even able to get the front row before the flag-off. 30 minutes before the flag-off, the warm-up from the organizers was held, and exactly at 6.10 A.M. an official named Sandiaga Uno led the flag-off!

  • The Race

This is very funny. This is my first time running from the front row. For that I have to match the speed of other runners, which are already very fast. At first, I could match Titis' speed, but I lost at the 400 distance, I couldn't continue running and chose to walk for a while, so I fell far behind. In the first KM, I didn't find many obstacles, I tried to save my energy because this was only the first KM, there were still 9 KM to go. I slowed down my speed, but the track that was passed became more and more difficult, in the fifth KM I felt my energy was drained. I should not push my limit in the first KM.

  • Enroute to Finish Line

The journey to the finish line was not easy. In addition to almost giving up at the fifth KM, my energy was increasingly drained so that when I was at the 9th KM I felt I needed a shortcut. I thought about cheating, but I didn't do it because I didn't find a shortcut. My motivation was still a medal, my third medal. There was no way I would give up when everything was prepared and I thought, it doesn't matter if in the end, my pace is not good.

Finally, I reached the finish line with a lot of struggle. I am grateful to myself, who did not give up even though I wanted to give up. This race was harder than the previous race. I think I need to do more training so that I can handle my running speed.

Finally, I got my third medal!

Here is my result:

Amartha 10 K Running
Distance: 10.42 KM
Time: 1:38:46
Pace: 09'28"/km
Calori: 3,150

Now I should to preparing next race. What kind of race, I will spoil it later.

Vivie Hardika

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
