(ENG/ESP) IT WAS A CYCLE OF HELP. // FUE UN CICLO DE AYUDA.

Sometimes I do hear people say "It’s not everyone you render help to" they say these things because of personal experiences, just like they have learnt from their past mistakes of how things went wrong when they offered to help someone.

A veces escucho a la gente decir "No es a todo el mundo a quien le prestas ayuda", dicen estas cosas debido a sus experiencias personales, al igual que están aprendiendo de sus errores pasados de cómo las cosas salieron mal cuando se ofrecieron a ayudar a alguien.

For me, I haven’t been in a situation like that, although, I am quite cautious about it, learning from other people mistakes is a good thing. But, it hasn’t stopped me from giving out help to someone while I can.

Para mí, no he estado en una situación así, aunque soy bastante cauteloso al respecto, aprender de los errores de otras personas es algo bueno. Pero, no me ha impedido ayudar a alguien mientras pueda.

Let me share a story about an event that happened very recently and I was quite emotional about it, because personally I haven’t experienced such in a long time.

Permítanme compartir una historia sobre un evento que sucedió hace muy poco y me emocionó mucho, porque personalmente no había experimentado algo así en mucho tiempo.

It all happened yesterday evening, on my way back home from an event I attended, It was raining quite seriously, and I'm not someone who rain goes well with as I always get bugged with severe cold.

Todo sucedió ayer por la tarde, cuando regresaba a casa de un evento al que asistí. Estaba lloviendo bastante, y no soy alguien a quien le vaya bien la lluvia, ya que siempre me molesta el frío intenso.

So, I was in a race to beat the rain, to find a vehicle and zoom off as soon as possible to my house.

Entonces, estaba en una carrera para vencer la lluvia, encontrar un vehículo y salir lo antes posible a mi casa.

On the way, I noticed this very young Lady, her appearance showed she’s aged about 30 years old or more, She was quite well dressed, moving around, looking all confused in the rain. I was moved to talk to her, so I slowed down to a halt and asked her what was the issue and where she was headed because she seems lost.

En el camino, noté a esta muy joven Dama, su apariencia mostraba que tenía alrededor de 30 años o más. Estaba bastante bien vestida, moviéndose, luciendo confundida bajo la lluvia. Me motivó a hablar con ella, así que me detuve y le pregunté cuál era el problema y hacia dónde se dirigía porque parecía perdida.

She described that she was headed somewhere and she was lost, so I gave her a clear directions while I was enduring the rain.

Describió que se dirigía a alguna parte y que estaba perdida, así que le di instrucciones claras mientras soportaba la lluvia.

I stopped a bike for her to take her to the nearest bus-stop and She thanked me. She got on the bike and was on the move when she noticed I was still waiting in the rain to get my ride.

Detuve una bicicleta para que la llevara a la parada de autobús más cercana y ella me dio las gracias. Se montó en la bicicleta y estaba en movimiento cuando notó que todavía estaba esperando bajo la lluvia para que me llevara.

So She asked the bikeman to slow down, pick me, take us both to the next Bustop where I'll find a vehicle and even offered to pay the fee. The rain was beginning to get much heavy and I do not like being on a bike while it’s raining, but on a second thought it’s faster for me to get to the bus-stop and there I’ll get a ride on time. And I joined her.

Así que le pidió al ciclista que redujera la velocidad, me recogiera, nos llevara a ambos a la siguiente parada de autobús donde encontraría un vehículo e incluso se ofreció a pagar la tarifa. La lluvia comenzaba a ser muy fuerte y no me gusta andar en bicicleta mientras llueve, pero pensándolo bien, es más rápido para mí llegar a la parada de autobús y allí me llevarán a tiempo. Y me uní a ella.

I was marvelled, and thanked her too.

Estaba maravillada, y también le di las gracias.

When we alighted at the bus-stop, it seemed the bikeman sensed all that had happened, so the Bikeman also decided not to take the fee and told us to go without paying. Wow!

Cuando nos apeamos en la parada del autobús, parecía que el ciclista se dio cuenta de todo lo que había sucedido, por lo que el ciclista también decidió no cobrar la tarifa y nos dijo que nos fuéramos sin pagar. ¡Guau!

It was a cycle of help!

I had helped the Lady, the Lady had helped me and the bikeman helped us both.

Yo había ayudado a la Señora, la Señora me había ayudado y el motociclista nos ayudó a los dos.

When I got home, I was thinking about what had happened, I thought about it throughout the night because people have similar experiences and it went all wrong for them.

Cuando llegué a casa, estuve pensando en lo que había pasado, lo pensé toda la noche porque las personas tienen experiencias similares y les salió todo mal.

I was grateful because mine was a good one and a very good way to start the rest half of the year.

Estaba agradecido porque la mía fue buena y una muy buena manera de comenzar el resto del año.

Show that kindness, you don’t know if the cycle of help might end up on you again from the place you don't even expect.

Muestra esa amabilidad, no sabes si el ciclo de ayuda puede volver a acabar contigo desde donde ni siquiera te lo esperas.
