Greetings to all my dear readers and followers of this platform, the day I will be sharing with you a topic that in my opinion is of utmost importance for food security on the planet, it is about the importance of drones in world agriculture and how they can make crops more productive in a shorter time, all this due to the great advances that have occurred in recent years.

The different technological advances that have been presented over the years to improve the productivity of the different food items that are produced in the world have been infinite, but I think one of the most important advances that has had more effectiveness has been the incorporation of drones in the work of the field. The arrival of these technological equipment has meant an improvement in crop productivity, as well as in the harvesting time.

At present, drones have many uses in the agricultural sector, but the greatest use is in the detection of pests and diseases of crops, as well as the precision at the time of spraying. Drones help producers to improve their productivity since these devices allow them to perform agricultural tasks in less time and with a higher degree of precision. Although the costs of these devices may be high for small producers, the decrease in harvesting time and the high yields in productivity allow them to cover, to a certain extent, the costs of implementing these drones.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), they consider drones as a fundamental technological tool that will allow them to achieve the sustainable development goals proposed in the 2030 agenda, based on this scoop, the implementation of this drone technology is fully established and approved. Drones offer many solutions to many problems that arise in the agricultural sector and at the same time allow the optimization of water resources and / or production of different crops worldwide.

In view of the above, the importance of the use of drones in the agricultural sector is very high, as they offer endless advantages that allow producers to improve productivity, which translates into faster food production, which is one of the main objectives of the FAO in its 2030 agenda.
