Hola comunidad de Hive, hoy quiero contarles sobre otra faceta de mi vida, me refiero al papel que desempeño como padre, desde hace mucho tiempo me ha tocado ser el representante de mi hija en el liceo.

Hello Hive community, today I want to tell you about another facet of my life, I refer to the role I play as a father, for a long time I have been the representative of my daughter in high school.

Mi hija actualmente cursa el 5to. año de bachillerato, con esto de la pandemia aún está por sistema de no presencial, una de razones de más peso es por cuestión de enfermedad, defensas bajas entre otras y por tal razón como familia no hemos querido que reciba la vacuna por recomendación de su médico.

My daughter is currently in her 5th year of high school, with this pandemic she is still in the non-attendance system, one of the most important reasons is due to illness, low defenses among others and for this reason as a family we have not wanted her to receive the vaccine on the recommendation of her doctor.

Es por esto que me ha tocado encargarme de ir al liceo, interactuar con cada uno de los profesores, buscarle las tareas, para que ella las realice desde casa y así entregarlas al tiempo programado. Como está en el último año escolar he tenido que involucrarme de lleno en los proyectos comunitarios.

This is why I have been in charge of going to the school, interacting with each of the teachers, looking for her homework, so that she can do it at home and turn it in on time. As she is in her last school year, I have had to get fully involved in community projects.

No es tarea sencilla pero tampoco imposible, en oportunidades es agotador trabajar, las compras de la casa y algunas tareas que tengo que realizar en casa y otras. Mi esposa también es bastante enfermiza de ahí los genes de mi hija, pero gracias a Dios cuando se siente mejor me da una mano con las cosas de la casa y entre los dos nos apoyamos.

It is not an easy task but not impossible either, sometimes it is exhausting to work, shopping for the house and some chores that I have to do at home and others. My wife is also quite sickly, hence the genes of my daughter, but thank God when she feels better she gives me a hand with things around the house and between the two of us we support each other.

Bueno el proyecto de los alumnos tiene como nombre "Incentivar la propuesta en prácticas de las medidas de bioseguridad contra el covid-19 a través de medios audiovisuales en la comunidad de la floresta," hemos tenido que colaborar para la elaboración de carteleras, panfletos, pendones entre otras actividades.

Well, the students' project is called "Encourage the practical proposal of biosecurity measures against covid-19 through audiovisual media in the community of La Floresta," we have had to collaborate in the elaboration of posters, pamphlets, banners and other activities.

En una de las tantas reuniones para hablar del proyecto, se agendó lo de dar una charla con personal capacitado y la profesora a cargo sugirió que si alguno de los representantes estaba apto para dar esa charla o de algún conocido que nos podría colaborar.

In one of the many meetings to talk about the project, it was scheduled to give a talk with trained personnel and the teacher in charge suggested that if any of the representatives were able to give that talk or someone they knew could collaborate.

Una de las representantes tomó la palabra y dijo que trabajaba con una Doctora en medicina ocupacional que le conversara del asunto y luego en la próxima reunión comentaba lo acordado con la Doctora.

A los pocos minutos ya estábamos en el liceo ya que nos queda relativamente cerca, había pocos asistentes, no me extrañó ya que siempre en reuniones de padres y representante somos pocos los que asistimos, error que cometen algunos padres.

De los profesionales a cargo de dar la charla solo mi hermano estaba presente, nos nos acercó la profesora, aproveche de presentarle a mi hermano y nos dijo que ya venía en camino la Doctora.

La verdad los doctores tocaron unos temas de interés y de reflexión, haciendo énfasis que no debemos bajar la guardia, la pandemia aún no se termina. Por el contrario, existe la posibilidad de otro repunte, ya que en otros países en algunos de sus poblados, han tenido que recurrir nuevamente a la cuarentena radical, mi hermano refirió de su experiencia al comienzo de la pandemia, donde tenían que usar los trajes espacial como yo los llamo, él contaba que al trasladar un paciente con COVID-19, esa vestimenta tenía que llegar a quitársela y quemarla.

El también dio un breve relato cuando estuvieron enfermos de covid-19 nuestros padres, porque él en ocasiones tuvo que colocarles el tratamiento y estar con ellos, ya cuando lo vi tranquilo y con el control del asunto me relaje, me sentí muy orgulloso de él, ese es mi hermano decía en mis adentros.
