In the fog of crises, a silent reassuring voice breaks through.

"Mummy, I did not do well in my exam" as she looked up and in a reassuring voice "Raymund, it's ok, as long you did your best"

My mum is a big influence in my life. Her work ethics is one to be admired. It does not matter how old you are right now, but your mum's words has a way to penetrate your wall of helplessness and give you a sense of calm and consolation.

Look around you.... people losing jobs, businesses closing, loans mounting up, people venting their frustration and some losing hope. You feel like drowning in sea of hopelessness.

What should I do?

Be STILL and don't get distracted with all the noises.

This morning I was listening to the American Idol 2004 participants William Hung. I actually connected with him on facebook and his message about being honest with yourself , always doing your best and try new ways of doing things is truly inspiring. That was a gem of a wisdom that was spoken by his mum during his difficult moments in life.

Whatever situation you are in now, it is NOT permanent. This thing will come to past like the stormy night breaking into the new day.

EVERYTHING in life has a cycle. Learn to ride the waves.

My mum words still rings inside my head. " Raymund It's Ok, as long you did your best"
