RE: Do we have a scammer on Hive?

She was in my DMs on Discord from April to June 2024

I "politely declined" to give her money.
Those were my exact words.
I would ironically trust someone more if they just asked for money rather than promising to pay it back.

First time scammed…or better say…I suspected and still “lend” her money… Still not sure why 100$ and not less 😂

I'm still owed $225 by a Nigerian on this blockchain and it's been quite some time but I'm not too worried about it. I feel like it's a matter of personal trust and reputation built between two people and perhaps even the community at large. This person didn't seem to have anyone that could vouch for her... at least not when she was talking to me a year ago.

True. Vouching is very important. But when you write a post about how you get 4k with the help of Hive, tag a few good names, and mention health issues. Unfortunately, we can fall for scams. Funny that I always said I won't fall for Nigerian prince and queen scams. I did on the Nigerian health scams.😂

Damn, I wonder how many people she did this to and if it was really worth it. Is losing people's trust such a worthless thing? The digital footprint can pop up anywhere.

It was worth it for her…and unfortunately, there are many more platforms where she can do that again…probably already doing it.
