My recommendations to attend the passport appointment in Venezuela | Mis recomendaciones para asistir a la cita del pasaporte en Venezuela

Hello everyone, I hope you are having an amazing time today. I stop by to tell you about my day yesterday, where I attended the Saime with my sister for our passport appointment. To obtain our new passport, since the previous one was about to expire and to be able to travel it needs at least 6 months of validity required by some countries.

Hola a todos, espero que la estén pasando increíble hoy. Paso por aquí para contarlos sobre mi día de ayer, donde asistí al Saime con mi hermana para nuestra cita del pasaporte. Para obtener nuestro nuevo pasaporte, ya que el anterior estaba a punto de vencerse y para poder viajar necesita al menos 6 meses de vigencia exigido por algunos países.

We asked for the passport appointment approximately ago, it took us a while to request it because many know that in our country it is not easy to save 200 USD. I don't know if some know but this is the second most expensive passport in the world. That is why we decided to wait until we had the money from both of them to order the one for 2 at the same time.

Hace aproximadamente pedimos la cita para el pasaporte, tardamos un poco en pedirla porque muchos saben que en nuestro país no es fácil ahorrar 200 USD. No sé si algunos saben pero este es el segundo pasaporte más costoso del mundo. Por eso decidimos esperar hasta tener el dinero de ambas para pedir el de las 2 al mismo tiempo.

We ask for the appointment and the next day they give you an answer via mail for when you should attend the site, bring the form that they send you, your identity document and there they take your photo. The appointment was made to attend approximately 20 days after you request it.

Pedimos la cita y al día siguiente te dan respuesta vía correo para cuando debes asistir al sitio, llevar la planilla que te envían, tu documento de identidad y allí te toman la foto. La cita la pusieron para asistir aproximadamente unos 20 días después de que la solicitas.

I must tell you that if you attend SAIME very early, you will spend the whole morning there because all the people who have an appointment for this day attend at this time. That is why we went at around 9 am and there was no longer a queue, the whole process is very fast once you pass with the girl who takes your photo, the data and checks the form

Debo decirles que si asisten muy temprano al SAIME van a pasar toda la mañana allí porque todas las personas que tienen cita para este día asisten a esta hora. Por eso nosotras fuimos a eso de las 9 am y ya no había cola, todo el proceso es muy rápido una vez que pasas con la chica que toma tu foto, los datos y chequea la planilla.

Yesterday it happened to us that as we have an extension in force, we still had to cancel the process online. That's why it took longer than we expected, I had to stay there and my sister pay for a motorcycle taxi so as not to miss our appointment, she came home, canceled the process and returned to where I was waiting for her and they were able to enter again and carry out the process without problem.

Ayer nos sucedió que como tenemos una prorroga vigente aún debíamos cancelar el proceso por internet. Por eso demoramos más de lo que esperábamos, yo tuve que quedarme allí y mi hermana pagar un mototaxi para no perder nuestra cita, ella vino a casa canceló el proceso y se devolvió a donde yo estaba esperándola y pudios entrar de nuevo y llevar a cabo el proceso sin problema.

So those are my two recommendations if you have an appointment for your passport. At least it gave us a chance to do everything and we didn't waste the day. We wanted to get out of this because there are days when we can be busy, besides that our appointment was set for that day, maybe they put a problem if we attend a day later.

Entonces esas son mis dos recomendaciones si tienen cita para su pasaporte. Al menos nos dio chance de hacer todo y no perdimos el día. Queríamos salir de esto porque hay días que podemos estar ocupadas, ademas que nuestra cita estaba fijada para ese día, a lo mejor ponen problema si asistimos un día después.

My sister had to do the process at home because we did not carry a cell phone due to the insecurity of my country and we needed a computer to be able to do what they told us on the site. This was all for today, I hope you liked it. We will read in a future post. A hug
