Inter-school May cross meeting

Un saludo mi querida comunidad hace algunos días celebramos la cruz de mayo en nuestro colegio con las actividades culturales y costumbres como es tradición en nuestro país al igual que los demás colegios que conforman el circuito educativo. Sin embargo antes de terminar el mes de mayo se realizó una actividad colectiva intercolegios.

Greetings my dear community a few days ago we celebrated the cross of May in our school with cultural activities and customs as is tradition in our country like the other schools that make up the educational circuit. However, before the end of the month of May, a collective inter-school activity took place.

Este encuentro no se había realizado en otros años, pero este no fue la excepción y lo mejor de todo fue que el lugar del evento fue la cancha techada de nuestro colegio. Contamos con una invitada especial de la comunidad quien pudo narrar la historia de la festividad de la cruz de mayo incluso canto unos galerones para homenajear la santa cruz.

This meeting had not been held in other years, but this was no exception and the best of all was that the place of the event was the roofed court of our school. We had a special guest from the community who was able to narrate the history of the festivity of the cross of May and even sang some galerones to honor the holy cross.

Cada colegio preparo un stand con toda la gastronomía y dulceria típica de esta celebración al igual que la bebida tradicional de esta fiesta como es el carato de mango. Junto a esto hay algo que nunca puede faltar en esta celebración como es el baile de joropo el cual estuvo muy concurrido al igual que el vestuario tipo para bailar joropo como son las falda en tela estampada de flores. Participo un representación de cada escuela para hacer el ritual del baile que en sus pasos marcan una cruz y así van avanzando para subir y bajar la cruz. Está vez para finalizar cada colegio hizo su respectiva petición de muchas bendiciones tanto para nuestros estudiantes todo el personal los padres y representantes y en especial para que reine la paz y la armonía en nuestro colegio

Each school prepared a stand with all the typical gastronomy and sweets of this celebration as well as the traditional drink of this celebration such as the “carato de mango”. Along with this there is something that can never miss in this celebration as is the joropo dance which was very crowded as well as the typical costumes to dance joropo as are the skirts in fabric printed with flowers. A representative from each school participated in the ritual of the dance, marking a cross in their steps and advancing up and down the cross. This time to finish each school made their respective request for many blessings for our students, all staff, parents and representatives and especially for peace and harmony to reign in our school.
