The mode of communication can be a language, sign language, writing, or expression. A language can only be effective if it communicates the content properly. If a speaker is not able to deliver to the listeners what he wants to convey, then that is because of poor communication skills. This may not be because both the speaker and listeners do not know the common language; it may also be because the speaker is not using suitable words, meaning he is not using an effective way of communication.

India is a linguistically diverse country with a number of languages. According to the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, there are 22 officially recognized languages. I must highlight that those are the officially recognized languages, but other than that, there are many which are spoken in different regions of the country. Almost every state of the country has its own language, and some are similar to each other, but some are completely different. For example, people of nearby states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana speak Punjabi, Dogri, and Haryanvi, but they have similarities, and people from any state can at least understand what others want to say. But if you go from north to south, then you will find it very difficult to communicate as their languages are completely different. I have experienced the same as I traveled to many states. If you check the percentage-wise share, then the national language Hindi takes first place with more than 40% share, and Bengali is in second with an 8.11% share, followed by Telugu, Marathi, and Tamil. Those are the top five languages spoken in India.

Hindi is the national language, and you can use the same mode of communication in any state if you do not know the local language, and other than that, English is also widely used in India. There is no problem in metros and cities, but the problem of language arises when someone travels to rural areas as there, people mostly speak the native language only. But in today's world, those limitations are getting reduced as people are adopting the national and English languages.

When I was in the western part of the country where the language was different from my native language, I faced some problems in starting, but as time passed, I learned some key words and the names of fruits and vegetables in their local language. It helped me a lot as those were the words I used a lot in day-to-day communication. In the office, it was not a problem as all were using Hindi or English only (with a small number using the local language also). I took it as an opportunity to learn a new language and started trying to understand and speak. To be honest, it did not make me an expert, but it helped me a lot when I was out of the office in local shops or markets.

In my opinion if we loved to some other part of country or the world its good opportunities then the barrier. For some instance it may be barrier but Its opportunity to learn new language also. The early you will understand better it will be for ourselves.
