Love is said to be the source of our existence. We were born when someone made love, we were brought up by someone who loved us, we kept on surviving because either someone loved us or we loved them. Some of us struggled to survive because we love ourselves!! But this so-called “love” is the most confusing concept of our universe !!
Making love can be termed as "lust" which is a selfish term. Love, on the other hand, is not. Someone might have taken care of us when we were kids either because they wanted something back from us when they were old. This again is selfish and loving ourselves, isn't that selfish as well? Then these things point out that there is no such thing as love and it is just some fairy tale told to satisfy us. Because everything and everyone takes care of each other just because they are dependent on each other directly or indirectly and not because they love each other.
Everything is based upon a system of survival of the fittest, not on survival of everyone because everyone is loved by the divine power. This can still be valid if we introduce the spiritual concept of "we are one" or we are all connected. It can be possible that "life" is just an experiment by the divine power in an attempt to enjoy and have fun in some manner. That is why a system might have been created by the divine power which is called 'survival of the fittest'. All the science that people bring up to fight the spirituality can be a deliberate system created by the divine because admit it, a system is required for any kind of establishment to flourish, be it man-made or natural.
That concludes that 'survival' is not the ultimate purpose of 'love'. The purpose of love can be providing a living being with an opportunity of enjoyment, exploration, experience, peace, happiness, blessings until the time they are alive!! Because we can not control death. We humans and also animals are aware of death but we haven't accepted it yet. That's why most of us fear it.
But if we look from another perspective, death is also an important element of love. We all understand that death is important. If no one would die then it would be impossible to contain the population. If animals won't kill, what would they eat? One animal has to give away his life so that another one can live. Isn't that too an act of love? Yes, they don't give themselves up by choice but this system, isn't it created out of love? One human gives away his life to merge back into the earth and recreate the same plants, fruits and vegetables which gave their lives at some point to keep the human alive. Isn't that an act of love? Again, yes, they are not willing to die but if we look at the code that has been set up, it looks as if it was created out of love. This code assures that everyone gets a chance to be born, enjoy their lives and then die so that others can do the same as well.
Love is something bigger and greater than survival. That means love isn't limited to our bodies but to the connection that we all have beyond bodies. Love can make one soul recognise the other and know that yes, we truly are one. We might not know it consciously but our subconscious knows it because this has been fixed in our code! That is why even if we don't act out of love deliberately, in the end, the result will. In the end, we will contribute all we know of ourselves to someone else, whether it's our body, our money, our possessions or our properties.
This is the real meaning of the sentence 'love is the base of existence and nothing can exist without love'. So love is not a man-made concept. The truth is that we don't actually know how to love but we still do love others subconsciously without even realizing how we are doing things for them, even if we humans think ourselves to be quite a selfish species. We are actually created in such a way that even if we do things only for ourselves, we still do things for others because we all are dependent on each other anyway.
