I continue my photography journey with my friend @k-banti. Where I live share an immediate boundary with the city of excellence (Lagos state) in Nigeria and it's sad to be caught up in the middle of development and under development. Houses in the rural side of my area is quite cheaper because there's hardly anything exquisite about it, the roads are an eye sore and there's hardly an amiable amenity provided by the government except expensive electricity bills and corrupt railway project practices.

However this is different in the urban areas, this is actually a place called ifako ijaiye quite the opposite of where I'm living which is like five minutes away from development. However the houses here are quite expensive and although it's not too expensive it's miles ahead from what we have in my side of the area. So these pictures are taken from the urban areas and you can see the cars and the settings. The roads are tarred and it's only spotty in a few places.

In Lagos the houses are so choked and there's hardly any places to relish however this place called ijaiye is more of an area of residence and people go into the big cities to work and come here which is more peaceful to reside. However it's homely to see a place that's not too crowded but still developed enough to actually accommodate people. This is why ifako ijaiye the urban side is my most favourite place to live in Lagos.

However I'm stuck on the other side with no obvious development, there are no good roads for traffic and the flood is always terrifying when the rains generally come. The gulleys are really big and the only advantage is that there are lesser people. However on a more serious note I'll choose living in a densely populated area with almost moderate development of course I'll love to rent a low cost house or build my own little house of my own, but then hive has to go up to about $10 or $8

Bro, I didn't get this part

but then I'll need to think this should hive get to about $10 or $8

I meant hive has to go up to about $8 before I can even dream of maybe buying a house, thanks I've corrected it

Your phone camera, compared to mine, is really sharp and colorful. I love it.

I can say all Houses in Lagos are expensive.

Can you believe a single room in yaba Lagos that I checked out was about 120k. Chai.

I got a self contain apartment in ogun state abeokuta for 90k a year.

See difference oh. 😂😂😂

Lol in Abeokuta, the houses are relatively cheap, I was there in 2015 doing Nd in Mapoly. But probably because of the demand houses have become really expensive.

Hahaha I added a little edits to the pictures though mostly HDR. Thanks man I appreciate

Smile.. it's nothing brother.

Yeah that's true. Higher the demand, higher the price.

Ah! On top weytin 😥?? 120k?? For which side for Yaba be that? I dey find house 😃

😎 Keep exploring Man. All awesome shots. I think I like the last image the most. The yellow vintage like car made me like it more.

Also, I've been wanting to ask. Do yo secretly take your street shots, or you boldly raise your smartphone while everyone is watching and then you just do your thing and walk away?. 😄😄

Hahaha it takes courage to take these shots but then I usually raise up my camera In friendly environments whenever I'm taking my pictures. Infact I've been wanting to do a major video shoot but then I might be caught and lynched do I've dettered from doing it

Yeah, I totally understand 😂🤣. @mistakili was a victim yesterday sef. He took a shot of how crowds are struggling to get access into the bank he visited and he was arrested 🤧.. He shared his experience in a post here Life as a blog writer/vlogger is somewhat difficult here in Nigeria.

Yeah they always think you're a fraudster or a ritualist when you take pictures. Last semester I was threatened to be rusticated because I was doing a video. It was really so disgraceful and honestly I promised myself not to go through it again. I'll check his post

😲😮 For real?? Threat of rustication for shooting a video?? God, this is becoming something else. 🤧🤧

It must have been an horrible experience. Sorry Man.

Yes o, threat of rustication my friend I just had to keep it cool, the system in Nigeria is totally messed up for real

🤧 Las las, we go dey alright. Na to relocate go another country go fit solve this matter.
