Hey racers — gear up! Today, I want to introduce you to one of Moon Karts’ smartest features: Presets. If you’re serious about staying competitive and saving precious setup time, mastering presets is going to become part of your winning edge.

What Are Presets?

In Moon Karts, Presets let you save up to four complete kart configurations — that means your chosen driver, kart, tech cards, accessories, and power-ups — and switch among them instantly before a race. Rather than manually reassigning every part, you simply pick the preset that matches your strategy or the track.

Efficiency & Speed

One of the biggest hassles in racing titles is scrambling to build or swap parts before each match. With presets, that process is trimmed down to a single tap. You can toggle between builds, test rival strategies, or adapt to track types without losing time.

Tactical Flexibility

Because you can maintain multiple builds at once, presets let you react to different conditions. Maybe Track A favors speed and Track B favors handling. Instead of rebuilding from scratch, you already have those options ready. As one guide put it: “rather than re-assembling your kart … you can now save up to four full configurations and switch between them with a click.

Growth Over Time

As you acquire new drivers, karts, and parts, you’ll want to fine-tune your setups. Presets let you refine and evolve configurations over time. You can keep a balanced “all-rounder” preset, plus more specialized ones for speed bursts, durability, or handling.

Tips for Using Presets Wisely

  • Label your presets by use case — e.g. “High Speed,” “Grip Control,” “Balanced” — so you know at a glance.

  • Update them when gear changes — whenever you get a new part or driver, revisit your presets to keep them optimal.

  • Watch track types ahead — if you know today’s race has more curves or straights, pick the preset best suited to that.

  • Don’t over-optimize — sometimes a middle ground setup is safer if you’re unsure how the race will play out.

In short: Presets transform your setup routine from a chore into a strategic tool. They let you stay nimble, switch tactics in seconds, and always have a race-ready build on hand. In a game where milliseconds matter, that flexibility can separate a podium finisher from someone stuck rebuilding in the pits.
