Time goes by very very fast, I can hardly believe that a year ago, my life changed at the root. I found myself at a turning point, where everything seemed to be in chaos. Life with Mom was not easy at first; the difficulties and frustrations seemed insurmountable. My daughter, Genesis, and I were coming to Cumana, emotionally drained and not believing in ourselves. With a change and decision that we took literally from today to tomorrow despite not being well where we were and having to struggle a lot on a daily basis, we did not have in mind to change our city. But we are alone there and we understood as in an awakening that this was not good.
El tiempo pasa muy muy rapido, casi no puedo creer que hace un año, mi vida cambió de raíz. Me encontré en un punto de inflexión, donde todo parecía estar en caos. La vida con Mamá no fue fácil al principio; las dificultades y frustraciones parecían insuperables. Mi hija, Génesis, y yo veníamos a Cumaná, emocionalmente agotados y sin creer en nosotros mismos. Con un cambio y decisión que tomamos literalmente de hoy para mañana a pesar de no estar bien donde estábamos y tener que luchar mucho a Diario no teníamos en mente cambiarno de ciudad . Pero estamos solas allí y entendimos como en un despertar que esto no era bueno .
But God sustained us, helped us and showed us that all was not lost. With family support, especially, we began to rebuild our lives. We went to therapy and slowly everything started to make sense. Genesis found a new high school, made friends and became an excellent student. Today she is in fifth grade and is part of a dynamic social group; she also practices volleyball and is much happier. She has achieved many of her goals and dreams.
Pero Dios nos sostuvo, nos ayudó y nos demostró que no todo estaba perdido. Con el apoyo familiar, especialmente, empezamos a reconstruir nuestras vidas. Fuimos a terapia y lentamente todo comenzó a tener sentido. Génesis encontró un nuevo liceo, hizo amigos y se convirtió en una excelente estudiante. Hoy está en quinto año y es parte de un grupo social dinámico; además practica voleibol y es mucho más feliz. A logrado alcanzar muchos de sus metas y sueños.
For my part, I found a new job and new friendships. I enrolled in college to advance professionally after leaving it pending for a long time. Today I can say that we are going to achieve these goals ahead of schedule. Already yesterday I enrolled in the second semester and this makes me realize that everything is running, time does not stop.
Por mi parte, encontré un nuevo trabajo y nuevas amistades. Me inscribí en la universidad para avanzar profesionalmente después de dejarlo pendiente por mucho tiempo. Hoy puedo decir que estas metas las vamos a lograr antes de lo previsto. Ya ayer me inscribí en el segundo semestre y esto me hace darme cuenta de que todo va corriendo , el tiempo no se detiene.
Although sometimes anxiety plays a trick on me, I thank God for this new life full of hope. Although the change was strong and sometimes makes me nostalgic, and as it was not years and however that marks you, I am grateful for the personal and professional transformation I have experienced.
Aunque a veces la ansiedad me juega trampa, doy gracias a Dios por esta nueva vida llena de esperanza. Aunque el cambio fue fuerte y a veces me da nostalgia, y como no fueron años y como sea eso te marca, estoy agradecida por la transformación personal y profesional que he experimentado.
Today I have more empathy for people and a renewed way of looking at life. I share moments with my mother that I didn't have before and I have learned that God is in control. He has never left me alone and I have a lot to be thankful for, I am still building that version of me that is not perfect but has made me happy.
Hoy tengo más empatía por las personas y una forma renovada de ver la vida. Comparto momentos con mi madre que antes no tenía y he aprendido que Dios tiene el control. Nunca me a dejado sola y que tengo mucho que agradecer , sigo cada construyendo esa versión de mi no perfecta pero si que me haha feliz.

It’s amazing that Genesis achieved her goals and in fifth group, volleyball is a nice game, in my child age, I didn’t play much of volleyball, but it’s a game I love growing up.
