I am an only child, but in my maternal family the children of my first cousins are considered my nephews and nieces, in spite of everything we are a small family compared to others, so we always enjoy family reunions full of love and laughter, we all contribute not only with money but also with support in decoration, errands etc. Yesterday we celebrated the 12th birthday of my niece, my cousin's daughter. At first, we thought it would be a small, intimate and quiet celebration, as we usually do.
However, the little girl had other plans. It turns out that on her phone, through the basketball team and school WhatsApp groups, she decided to extend the invitation to almost all of her classmates. That's when the intimate gathering turned into a big surprise party. My aunt's little house looked like a market haha 🤣 and everyone amazed.
When all those children started to arrive, we found a house full of energy and joy, but also a bit of unexpected chaos. We were not prepared to receive so many guests, some brought their parents, can you imagine ? there were not enough treats for all the little guests, snacks for the adults a total disaster.
The situation sent us running, improvising with what we had to make the party special. Despite the initial mess and the rush to arrange everything, seeing the smiles and excitement on the children's faces reminded us that sometimes the best parties are the ones that come without planning. We had no choice but to make a delivery, ordering some tequeños, creams and cockerels, more sodas, etc.
In the end, that innocent prank of my niece turned an ordinary birthday into an unforgettable memory for the whole family. Because in life, the unexpected surprises are the ones we enjoy the most. Obviously now it's time to review those invitations for future occasions because we won't always have the time to resolve.

Soy hija única, pero en mi familia materna los hijos de mis primos hermanos son considerados mis sobrinos, a pesar de todo somos una familia pequeña en comparación con otras, así que siempre disfrutamos de reuniones familiares llenas de cariño y risas, sin oportamos entre todos no solo con dinero sino con apoya en decoración, diligencias etc. Ayer celebramos el cumpleaños número 12 de mi sobrina, la hija de mi prima. Al principio, pensamos que sería una celebración pequeña, íntima y tranquila, como solemos hacer.
Sin embargo, la pequeña tenía otros planes. Resulta que en su teléfono, a través de los grupos de WhatsApp del equipo de básquetbol y del colegio, decidió extender la invitación a casi todos sus compañeros. Fue entonces cuando la reunión íntima se transformó en una gran fiesta sorpresa. La pequeña casa de mi tía parecía un mercado jaja 🤣 y todos asombrados.
Cuando comenzaron a llegar todos esos niños y niñas, nos encontramos con una casa llena de energía y alegría, pero también con un poco de caos inesperado. No estábamos preparados para recibir a tantos invitados , algunos llevaron a sus papás, puenden imaginar ? no había suficientes golosinas para todos los pequeños invitados, pasapalos para los adultos un desastre total.
La situación nos puso a correr, improvisando con lo que teníamos para hacer que esa fiesta fuera especial. A pesar del desorden inicial y la prisa por acomodar todo, ver las sonrisas y la emoción en el rostro de los niños nos recordó que a veces las mejores fiestas son las que surgen sin planear. No quedo de otra que realizar un delivery pidiendo un poco de tequeños, cremas y galleras , mas refrescos etc
Al final, esa travesura inocente de mi sobrina convirtió un cumpleaños común en un recuerdo inolvidable para toda la familia. Porque en la vida, las sorpresas inesperadas son las que más se disfrutan. Obviamente ahora toca revisar esas invitaciones para próximas ocasiones pues no siempre tendremos como resolver.
