Cuando tenía 21 años mi vida estaba dedicada a estudiar y la danza, estaba sacando mi carrera universitaria y al mismo tiempo era integrante de una academia de bailes urbanos, lo cual le dedicaba todo mi esfuerzo y dedicación, pues es lo que me apasionaba en ese entonces.
When I was 21 years old my life was dedicated to studying and dancing, I was getting my university degree and at the same time I was a member of an urban dance academy, which I dedicated all my effort and dedication, because that is what I was passionate about in that then.
Mi embarazo [My pregnancy]
Tenia un par de meses con retraso y pues si estaba embarazada, No me lo esperaba ni lo podía creer, que dentro de mi estuviera creciendo una personita que vendría luego a alegrarme los días. Cuando tenia 5 meses comencé a sentir las pataditas que un par de meses mas tarde me hacían temblar y me emocionaba cada vez mas, la ginecobstetra me dio la noticia que tendría una niña.

I was late for a couple of months and well, if I was pregnant, I didn't expect it and I couldn't believe it, that a little person was growing inside of me who would come later to brighten my days. When I was 5 months old I began to feel the kicks that a couple of months later made me tremble and I was getting more and more excited, the obstetrician gave me the news that I was having a girl.

Hicimos una pequeña reunión para celebrar su pronta llegada (baby shower) en el cual recibimos algunos obsequios de familiares y amigos.
We had a small meeting to celebrate his early arrival (baby shower) in which we received some gifts from family and friends.
Yo seguía estudiando, pero deje la danza a un lado, ya me faltaban solo dos semestres para graduarme, pero mi embarazo fue muy tranquilo me permitio seguir adelante, no me causo ni vomitos, malestares fuertes; solo aveces por las noches calambres y se me hinchaban los pies.
I was still studying, but I put dance aside, I had only two semesters left to graduate, but my pregnancy was very quiet, it allowed me to move on, it did not cause me to vomit, strong discomfort; only sometimes at night cramps and my feet swelled.
Llego el gran dia [The big day has arrived]
Un dia 16 de septiembre fui a la universidad en la mañana, sentía como una pequeña incomodidad luego de llegar a casa, sentía que el malestar aumentaba poco a poco, enseguida llame a mi ginecobstetra y me aseguro esos malestares eran porque mi bebe quería nacer. En horas de la madrugada el malestar se convirtió en dolores fuertes casi insoportables, fue cuando fui al hospital y en horas de la mañana por fin nacio mi hija el 17 de septiembre de 2016.
One day, September 16, I went to the university in the morning, I felt like a little discomfort after arriving home, I felt that the discomfort increased little by little, immediately I called my gynecostetrist and I made sure those discomforts were because my baby wanted to be born. In the early hours of the morning the discomfort became almost unbearable severe pain, it was when I went to the hospital and in the morning my daughter was finally born on September 17, 2016.
Cuando la vi por primea vez rompí en llanto, por todos los sentimientos encontrados que tenía en ese momento la abrace y le di un beso. Allí descubrí el verdadero significado del amor, el de un madre con sus hijos.
When I saw her for the first time I burst into tears, for all the mixed feelings I had at that moment, I hugged her and gave her a kiss. There he discovered the true meaning of love, that of a mother with her children.
Mi vida cambio completamente, ya esa personita dependía de mí. Tenía que salir adelante por las dos. Creo que toda madre a pesar de los trasnochos, los berrinches, los desórdenes en la casa y los llantos, nos sentimos satisfechas al ver a nuestros hijos e hijas felices, allí es donde entendemos que todo ese esfuerzo vale la pena y más.
My life changed completely, and that little person depended on me. He had to get by for both of us. I think that every mother, despite the late nights, the tantrums, the disorders in the house and the crying, we feel satisfied to see our sons and daughters happy, that's where we understand that all that effort is worth it and more.
Soy madre soltera y creo que como muchas, luchamos día a día trabajando arduamente tanto en la casa como en los trabajos para darle un mejor futuro de lo que lo tuvimos nosotras.

A child is not an impediment to your goals, things become more difficult but it can be achieved, here is my example, after I had my baby, I finished my degree and managed to graduate from university.
