Estaba haciendo el almuerzo como en un día normal y al momento de cortar los vegetales que compré, noté que la cebolla en rama y el cilantro venían con sus raíces y como soy fan de las platas tomé la decisión de cortarlas, colocarlas en un tarro con agua para al día siguiente sembrarlas.
I was making lunch as in a normal day and at the moment of cutting the vegetables I bought, I noticed that the onion and cilantro came with their roots and as I am a fan of plants I decided to cut them, put them in a jar with water and the next day I would plant them.
Nunca había hecho eso de sembrar una planta alimenticia en casa, así que empecé a ver videos sobre como hacerlo bien para que ella viviera y poder cosechar más adelante.
I had never done that before, so I started watching videos on how to do it right so that it would live and I could harvest it later.
Empecé tomando una pequeña maceta que tenía en casa y le coloque algunas piedras al fondo, esto haría que al regarla no se saliera la tierra.
I started by taking a small pot that I had at home and put some stones at the bottom, this would prevent the soil from leaking out when watering it.
Paso #1Luego la llené de abono, una cantidad considerable que cubriera las raíces y un trozo del tallo.
Then I filled it with compost, a considerable amount to cover the roots and a piece of the stem.
Paso #2Con ayuda de una cucharita y mis dedos hice unos pequeños agujeros para así poder sembrar los tallos.
With the help of a spoon and my fingers I made some small holes so that I could plant the stems.

Y por último les eché un poco de agua y las coloqué al sol.
And finally I poured some water on them and placed them in the sun.
Paso #4Y así se encuentran al día de hoy, han pasado ya dos semanas desde la primera que planté de la cual ya tuve una primera cosecha y unos cinco días desde la segunda planta que sembré.
And this is how they are today, two weeks have passed since the first one I planted, of which I already had a first harvest, and about five days since the second plant I sowed.
Lo triste fue que mi cilantro murió, nunca supe porque ya que le di los cuidados que ameritaba, pero empecé a leer y aprendí que es bastante delicado y no siempre hecha raíces.
The sad thing was that my cilantro died, I never knew why since I gave it the care it deserved, but I started reading and learned that it is quite delicate and does not always take root.
Realmente el proceso no fue muy difícil, siempre y cuando nos informemos bien antes de plantar cualquier semilla o tallo, disfruté mucho el proceso ya que aprendí cosas no sabía.
The process was really not very difficult, as long as we are well informed before planting any seed or stem, I really enjoyed the process as I learned things I did not know.

Que lástima que el cilindro no creciera, no sabía que era delicado, es más, pensé que crecía fácil. Pero. Con el cebolla te fue bien y que siga creciendo y dándote muchas cosechas.
También pensé lo mismo, incluso le di los mismos cuidados pero al parecer era muy delicado:(

I am not sure if I have seen an onion plant before. But it is smart of you to plant it, so you would be able to harvest some onions later without having to buy in the market.
