Sleep: The body needs rest, as we cannot cheat nature.

Hello, everyone.

We really don't know how blessed we are until we hear other people's stories. We really do underate a lot of blessings, and being able to sleep without taking pills or drugs is one of them. Some people have issues with sleeping and cannot sleep until they take those drugs and pills. On the other hand, there are some of us who don't need these pills to fall deep asleep; all we need is a place to lay our heads, and we are already gone.

We so much underrate the ability to sleep naturally without the need for sedatives. I visited the hospital sometime ago, and I heard a woman complaining bitterly about how she has lived her life on drugs. Without those drugs, every other person in her house will be busy sleeping while she stays awake and is tired of taking those drugs. The night was made so we could rest; when we fail to rest, it affects how we function, and the whole body system reacts to a lack of rest.

I have friends who don't even need to be comfortable before they can fall asleep; even while lectures are going on and at some point they feel bored, they just sleep right there in class without looking for comfort. There are some out there too who find it very difficult to sleep at night, not because of worries or sleeping issue but because it feels more like they are wired that way. They don't sleep until it is late at night, not because they have issues with sleep; it is more like a tradition, but when they finally sleep, they sleep quietly and peacefully.

Those who know me very well know I don't sleep a lot, but when I do, I sleep deeply. My dad will say you don't sleep a lot, but when you do, you cover for all. When I manage to sleep, I don't even hear my phone ring more, like when I travel far. That way, I get to rest enough. I hear people say sleeping is a hobby for them definitely not me, as I spend very little time sleeping. Sometimes I feel the time I spend sleeping is not enough to keep me going. Sleep helps replenish lost energy; therefore, less sleep means less energy is replenished.

When I first gained admission to college, I had a roommate who always screamed at night because of the weird dreams he always had. If he is not being chased in the dream, then he is falling off a building. Every night, we expect him to shout. At first, we always laughed when he told us about these dreams, but later we realized it made him feel bad, so we had to stop. Disturbing the rest of us every night became an issue, but we had to endure.

For me, I don't usually have weird dreams; I don't remember ever having one. Once I lay down to sleep, I always sleep peacefully until I decide to wake up or am disturbed by someone. My sleep being disturbed by a weird dream is one memory I do not have, and I am really happy about that. One thing that really hurts me is when I manage to fall asleep and am disturbed by someone. It annoys me until I fall asleep again, and if I don't, my mood for the day or night won't be good at all as I did not get enough sleep.

The importance of sleep cannot be overemphasized. Below, I will share a few reasons why we do need to sleep.

  • Sleep helps to replenish and restore lost energy.

  • helps the entire body cool off, especially the brain.

  • helps improve our health.

Yes, our body needs proper sleep to work. Those who don't need any pills or medicine they are really lucky. It's a blessing!!!

Sleeping is the best remedy to heal mind and body. It's also a very good way to kill time, lol 😂. Make sure you have enough sleep. Have a good day. !PIZZA
