Would some robots want to be like us?

Trying to teach robots human behavior is like trying to get a dog to ride a skateboard – entertaining but not exactly in their skill set. You can throw data at them all day,but getting a robot to master the intricacies of genuine human connection and storytelling around a campfire? That's a whole different ballgame. That's a different kind of algorithm, my friend.

But, but, but... First of all: Why?

They are built different, not carbon based. They don't need glasses, clothes, jewelery. All they would want is an upgrade with newer tech.
If I saw a robot that intentionally dresses like a human I would consider it a snob. Pretending to be someone he is not.

However

if more advanced robots emerge in the future that attempt to simulate human behavior, this could raise different reactions and questions about ethics and social acceptance. This is an area that will require balanced discussion and consideration as the technology evolves.
