Ladies and gentlemen, I feel bad for asking you for help, but I've got little choice. See, there's this new Jaguar I want to buy, but I don't want to sell mine. So I was thinking, if each one of you can throw some euros my way, you'll soon be able to tell your friends you bought someone a Jag. LOL.
Okay, let me get serious. I love blogging and writing, and despite my poor English, I'm not too bad at it. My issue is with Hive. With me being fairly new to this platform, my reputation score is still low at 37. That in turn prevents a user from doing proper blogging, as all of you know.
Last night I tried posting a good, motivational article, only to read ‘insufficient resources.’ Having to wait several days (62 hours!) after doing one article before being able to do another post is just ridiculous. Imagine how many new users give up and abandon Hive altogether.
I can do barely one or two comments in total, then my resource level had dropped too low to do a proper post. Is this a blogging platform with a social component, or not?
Some time before I got so upset about it, I wrote a nasty article critisizing Ecency. Ironically, it bumped up my reputation score from 34 to 36. I understand the principle of keeping spam posts off the platform, but that sword is also cutting good people that can and want to contribute real value to the site. Some articles are time-sensitive.
What I am humbly asking you is to like/upvote this short article. That's all. Let me get to the point where I too can contribute value to the Hive network. I really feel bad asking for this, as it feels so selfish, and I'm breaking a promise to myself to never ask anyone for help.
You don't have to help me buy a second Jaguar, I only want a vote from you. It will raise my reputation score so that I can blog freely without being restricted by ‘insufficient resources.’ This is the sole reason I am still blogging on other ‘traditional’ platforms like Blogspot, Medium, and WordPress.
I had to take my post of last night to SteemIt, while I wrote it for Ecency initially. I really cannot send a proper message to Mark Fuckerface of Facebook before I'm not fully on Hive yet.
I'm posting a photo of a classy girl with an old Jag to motivate you. ;)
So, come on, hit the upvote button below. I'll return the favor in the future.
Just sent you a 25HP delegation from my alt. account to help you along. Welcome to Hive and allow me to make a couple of suggestions!
A proper intro post usually works well, use #introduceyourself as the first tag and many of the 'meet and greet' brigade will pick it up and say hello, and secondly, when you use stock photos, please always give a source under the photo please. Stops our very keen anti-abuse teams from apoplectic fits!
Best wishes :-)
Thank you for the kind gesture. I only learned about the Introduction post a while after I joined and already made a few posts, so I figured it would look silly to do it by then. Regarding citing sources, I'm busy catching up with that, in most posts anyway. Will keep your advice in mind.
You're welcome and good luck, it is rather a steep learning curve and sometimes the old folks have too little patience with the noobs!

Thanks a million for the advice! 😁 I'll definitely follow (most) of it. Gotten a bit discouraged when I started on Hive, only to see that dreaded 'insufficient resources' message after a long post. Many of my posts meant for Hive ended up on the many other blogs I have.
I am using Ecency, also its app, and like it so far.
Discord, I've got an account I opened some time ago, haven't used it yet, still have to figure it out. I'm trying to stay on crypto sites only, in order to pick up every bit I can possibly learn about web 3.0, and since I believe that Discord doesn't qualify (I'm likely to be wrong) I didn't pay any attention to it yet.
Regarding passwords, yep, I'm aware of the many scammers, fraudsters and hackers that's around. I trolled the crap out of one on Twitter a few days ago, and yesterday I took a few swipes at a Russian that spread misinformation about the pandemic on Flote. Lol. I should cool down a bit, I think.
If you do an introduceyourself blog with the tag if you haven’t already I have to check you get more exposure but only of it if you haven’t already done that blog.
But maybe we in discord the terminal can help you also with resourcmce credit. Let me know if you want an invite
See you in the comments
I'll consider an intro post soon again. The irony is, I did type out a long one when I got on Ecency, only to not have enough resource credits. 🤣 Can't remember if I then discarded or saved that post.
I'll appreciate any invite that drags me deeper into the crypto world. 😌 On the app now, but will check out those links in your other comment in a few hours on my computer.
