Wow! I couldn't tell there were that many pens in there on the photo you showed me in a previous comment. That is awesome and lots of colors and types to choose from.

I know that was a happy moment when you got those.

It was on sale. Really inexpensive. I used to only do black and white. looks like things are going get colorful 😀

Art styles are ever changing and maybe it is just time for it. Of course you know I love color, so that would be all good to me. Still, I know how it is to have your own style and your own "normal". Maybe that will make it even more interesting as you figure out to how turn the colors into something you actually love.

I'll be waiting to see what you come up with !

Sorry I'm so late to reply. I have ideas everyday all day and night actually. It's good but most I can't figure out how or where I can do them. I do have some nice gouache-some good colors I want to use... well there I go spinning in my head. I better stop writing

I cannot recall ever purchasing a sharpie. I have several sharpies in my home. I've never thrown away a sharpie. The sharpie economy is vague and mysterious.

When COVID first happened and there was the whole work from home thing, I was still taking notes on paper (and I still do). I proudly collected three BIC pens which had completely run out of ink before being lost or taken by another human.

Pens are funny things.

About 25 years ago I was doing a lot of blind contour drawings and was looking for just the right pen. I needed constant flow of ink. Smooth fast surface, Quick drying so it would't smear. They last a pretty long time and in bulk are not too expensive. I was using Strathmore 500 series paper and they were the perfect match on that. It has a pretty hard and smooth surface so the speed was available and if you pause briefly it doesn't make a big puddle mark haha.

I got the big box from Blick art supplies really discounted price
