My name is Sofia, I was born in 93 in Los Teques, Miranda state (Venezuela). When I was little my mom used to tell me that I was not a planned baby unlike my siblings, which made me not know exactly how long I was pregnant at the time of my birth, but she always insisted that she was convinced that I had been, in fact a few minutes after I was born they had to take me to an incubator because I started to get purple because I had difficulty breathing, but after a few days I could go home to La Victoria, Aragua state, where I grew up with my siblings and my parents.

As a child, despite being the only female granddaughter in my father's family, I never considered myself or was raised as a spoiled child who got everything I wanted once I asked for it, in fact, in my house there was never preferential treatment or differences in the treatment of my parents towards my siblings or me, a situation that allowed me to grow up, as we say in Venezuela, with my feet on the ground and with values oriented to justice and equality.

Since I was a little girl I was very independent, studious and why deny it? A little bossy hahaha but I have always considered myself a determined person in terms of what I wanted for my life, although sometimes I lack a little discipline to achieve my goals.

At the age of 17 I began to study law at a prestigious university in my country located in Caracas, so I had to move to my paternal grandfather's house in Los Teques because the trip from his house to the university was quite short by subway. This change in my life was a big challenge for me, I went from living in a small city and always being with my mother who looked for me and took me everywhere, to living practically alone and taking the responsibility of doing things by myself. The first year of my career I had a hard time adapting to all the changes that were happening in my life, among them being separated from my mom was very difficult for me, however, we always looked for a way to see each other on weekdays. Despite this, I feel that my college career was over in the blink of an eye, and exactly 5 years later I was receiving my law degree.

After many years traveling from one city to another for studies and work, finally in 2017 I decided to move to Caracas, where I practice my career and where I have greater opportunities for professional development. After 12 years stepping on Caracas soil I can say that I have adopted this city as my own, a city that allows me to appreciate it despite its constant chaos that as every capital city has.

Although I am a practicing lawyer, I have always enjoyed crafts, cooking, and recently added sewing and knitting to my list of hobbies, activities that I have found to be quite therapeutic and relaxing, especially in these times of pandemic and which I enjoy immensely.
