Cuando una amiga me dijo para llevarnos a mi esposo y a mi a visitar un cementerio mi respuesta fue "no", no era un simple cementerio pero yo no lo sabía, me preguntaba qué haríamos visitando tumbas de personas que no conocimos, y es que cuando vamos de viaje lo menos que esperamos es visitar un cementerio.

Al final accedimos, mi amiga prometía que nos iba a gustar.

Este cementerio queda ubicado en el Barrio de la Recoleta, en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, capital de Argentina. Es muy particular y tambien uno de los más famosos por albergar mausoleos que son una verdadera obra de arte además de encontrarse las tumbas de muchas personalidades del ámbito político y artístico del país.

Uno de los más visitados es el de Eva Perón, conocida tambien como "Evita". Me sorprendió ver flores frescas en el lugar, es porque aun hay gente que se siente identificada con las luchas sociales de la que ella era partícipe.

This cemetery is located in the Recoleta neighborhood, in the city of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. It is very particular and also one of the most famous for housing mausoleums that are a true work of art as well as the tombs of many personalities of the political and artistic field of the country.

One of the most visited is that of Eva Perón, also known as "Evita". I was surprised to see fresh flowers in the place, it's because there are still people who feel identified with the social struggles she was involved in.

Está enterrada junto con otros integrantes de la familia Duarte, el guia turistico nos explicaba que su cuerpo tardó 19 años en ser enterrado en este cementerio,pues había sido secuestrado y enterrado en italia bajo otro nombre, la razón es que una vez que su esposo el ex presidente de Argentina Juan Perón se fue al exilio, los que tomaron el gobierno se encontraron con el cuerpo embalsamado y no querían enterrarlo para que no fuese adorado por el pueblo.

Es una historia fascinante, pero sigamos con el recorrido, porque si una cosa tiene el cementerio son muchas historias que contar, y mientras te vas adentrando entre sus tumbas y mausoleos vas quedando perplejo de la belleza de cada pieza.

Otra que llamó mi atención fue la tumba de esta chica que en vida se llamaba Liliana Crociati de Szaszak. Su mausoleo tiene una escultura que es una representación de ella misma vestida de novia junto a su perro sabú. Murió en una avalancha en su luna de miel en Austria.

Todo el que pasa por la escultura le toca la nariz al perro, las leyendas dicen que da suerte y como es hecha en bronce mantiene su color natural a diferencia del resto de la escultura que por el paso del tiempo adquirió una tonalidad verdosa. Sea como sea es hermosa.

Another one that caught my attention was the grave of this girl who in life was called Liliana Crociati de Szaszak. Her mausoleum has a sculpture that is a representation of herself dressed as a bride with her dog Sabu. She died in an avalanche on her honeymoon in Austria.

Everyone who passes by the sculpture touches the dog's nose, the legends say that it gives luck and as it is made in bronze it keeps its natural color unlike the rest of the sculpture that over time acquired a greenish tonality. Be that as it may, it is beautiful.

Otra curiosidad con la que nos encontramos es la cantidad de gatos tamaño XL😆 que hay por todo el cementerio, si vas caminando solo y te topas repentinamente con uno de estos gatos no te asustes, no es un fantasma, es un centenar de estas hermosas mascotas que hacen vida entre estas tumbas.

Conforme íbamos caminando nos sorprendiamos más, y es que no es muy habitual encontrarse con cementerios que dejan a la vista los ataúdes, de verdad que este escenario me pareció tenebroso porque soy muy miedosa de lo que representa la muerte a pesar de ser algo muy natural y biológico, pero no iba a tener oportunidad de ver algo así tan único en el mundo.

Entre las historias que más llamó mi atención fue la de una chica que sufría de catalepsia, su nombre era Rufina Cambaceres, tenía la foto original de su mausoleo pero la perdi, por lo que les comparto una foto de referencia y les cuento un poco de su historia.

Ella murió a los 19 años y su cuerpo llevado a este cementerio, pero a los pocos días sus familiares fueron avisados de que la tapa del ataúd estaba desplazada hacia un lado y cuando fueron hasta el lugar la cara de la chica había sufrido rasguños al igual que partes de su cuerpo, pues había sido enterrada viva pero igualmente murió, seguramente al verse en aquel lugar y después de luchar para poder salir.

Su padre mandó a elaborar una escultura de la chica parada frente a las puertas celestiales.

Y así muchas historias interesantes que hay detrás de cada una de estas personas que sus restos reposan hoy en día en este espectacular recinto santo.
