RE: A love message to my native island LA PALMA currently undergoing a volcanic eruption. All my love to you beautiful BENAHOARE

Yes Nature has its own rules, still the case is slightly different because though we don't regret human lives, roads are permanently obliterated by lava, and the whole economy of the island relies on the southwest tourism and farms. The two villages engulfed have and will not have chance of rebuilding, it's literally under the lava flow and that land will be just black rock for hundreds of years from now. At least evacuation was swift the people on the volcano way won't have a home place to return, not now not in a hundred years from now. We have also the scars from previous eruptions, it is what it is.

Yes, this is far more permanent destruction, not redeemable, as after a hurricane...

yes, pretty much like previous eruptions it will leave a scar on land for many centuries to come, but what worries me is that the roads in the north due to the topography of the island are insane and long, and most communications via south (all at the end) will be cut by lava, so it it's not only the houses, but farmers wanting to water their lands. Even the fishing port is gonna be affected cos they won't be able to fish for a long while. Sigh. Let's see, it's expected to reach the sea anytime soon, some coast villages are on confinement with windows closed.
