Actually before the Olympic Games the Capital of Greece was a dirty city with very little infrastructures. The Olympics upgraded the image of Athens so I think it was worth the billions spent. A lot of roads were built and Athens was filled with green color.
On the other hand it is very sad to see most of the Olympic buildings to suffer from the wear and tear of time.
Every action has its pros and cons and the Olympic games of Athens gave the country many pros but also many cons.
