My Cleaning Activity for 13/11/2024

in CLEAN PLANET3 days ago

The dry season is here, bringing another period of endless coughing and catarrh from inhaling dust. This morning, as I was going to school, I noticed that everywhere was dusty, and I regretted not using a nose mask because I kept sneezing. This period is often characterized by a high level of sickness due to the inhalation of toxic particles, and the least people can do to stay safe now is by keeping clean and wearing a face mask.

Regarding cleanliness, the dry season here in Nigeria often breeds mosquitoes, which are one of the primary carriers of disease.

Over the weekend, I spent several hours decluttering my surroundings. My family and I had traveled and were away from home for five days. When we returned, everything was messy, with dead leaves, broken branches, and stagnant rainwater scattered all over the compound. With the help of my sister, we managed to clean up our compound and rooms as well.

This morning, I woke up quite early and had a few chores to attend to. After completing them, I weeded the compound and picked up improperly disposed waste materials. Below are some pictures from today’s cleaning activity.

I used to think that hiring a cleaner was just for posh folks. But here I am in Wimbledon, sipping my tea while someone else is making the bathtub sparkle. The folks over at Emop did a fantastic job, and they offer cashback up to £150, which doesn’t hurt! I love that I don’t have to do a deep clean every week, and honestly, with the professionals handling it, my place has never looked better. Plus, there’s just something glorious about coming home to a spotless space.
