Hello Hivers ๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿ’•,

  • The beginning of the use of the mobile Seedbed is as a result of being creative one step at a time. It is extremely good to be creative but its also needs to be done at a perfect timing. When the timing is extremely wrong then what you want to plant may not survive or it may grow up at the wrong time. This is why you need to study your immediate environment and also no exactly what you are doing as a farmer. You need to work with timing and as well as giving your best to the nature so that the return in production will be more massive and juicy.

Fast and furious before I started the application of the use of mobile Seedbed, it has always been my first priority to always explore and be creative so as to improve on my day today Farm activities and also to be able to recommend so many things for Young ones that are coming as individual farmers. It is not a good thing for a young one to always get ideness from is day-to-day living life. So when you get into agriculture it will open your mind and also get you prepared ahead of the task. So I got prepared with a lot of tools around me which also I went to source for others that are not readily available. I took some pictures to show us more about the cultivation of sweet potato into a mobile sack or bag. It is simple as being able to create out of nothing.

The first thing I did was to gather up more soil because when you are using this mobile seed techniques to farm you need a lot of extra healthy and nutrients value soil for planting. As it was shown below.

This was when I was gathering up the soil to plant the sweet potato. This is to highlight that you need a lot of extra soil to carry out this task or else it will not be possible.

IMG_20240510_124407_417.jpg

  • This was the sack or poultry feed bag that was available for me to use. I even had some leftover poultry feeds in it. So I had to keep it somewhere else for the usage of the sack. All this is to show us that even in your own house you have all what it takes to be a farmer. You can start right from now thinking of what to plant and also take notes of how it grows.

IMG_20240510_123232_526.jpg

IMG_20240510_123213_340.jpg

I've never done this before planting sweet potato inside a mobile sack but this is an experiment fully so I dedicated a lot of hours to this. That is why I always emphasize that to be a farmer is not a child play. A lot of people were asking me what was I going to do with this and my response was for Farming. So people were looking out for what I was about to do. You can use any type of suck if it is readily available for you or you can go to the market and source for some.

IMG_20240510_122320_060.jpg

  • This was another step I took the mixing of the soil thoroughly with the Organic manure. In my own case this was what was on Ground at that point which has also been of help to me and my farming activities.

IMG_20240510_133041_110.jpg

IMG_20240510_124840_494.jpg

IMG_20240510_125421_717.jpg

It is generally known that you want to plant in an external soil you need to make it look more fertile. And for any other way but this I know of. Then also the ratio at which I mixed the soil gives me a lot of positive impression that even up to two to four months, I do not need any additional manure to boost it.

IMG_20240510_125205_345.jpg

This is the Organic manure. I already brought out another bag of the Organic manure for this rainy period.

IMG_20240510_124827_690.jpg

IMG_20240510_125641_508.jpg

IMG_20240510_124739_905.jpg

When I wanted to mix the soil instead of me to have done it directly. I brought out a very already cut off sack into flat surface for mixing of the soil And the maure with respective ratio.

IMG_20240510_124746_648.jpg

IMG_20240510_132914_368.jpg

IMG_20240510_124846_110.jpg

I needed a lot of time to do this because before I could even switch to the clock, I've already spent more than one and half hours going through this process alone. It was extremely stressful.

IMG_20240510_124855_903.jpg

IMG_20240510_124904_203.jpg

  • The next step was the use of water Channel.

Ideally, I've not gone through this process for once I mean planting of sweet potato inside a mobile sack. So I needed to create an avenue where the water will always pass through and in case if I want to add any type of manure to it. So this was what I created using a Coca-Cola bottle.

  • You may use any type of bottle but I prefer to use this. Even though it is not too big and not too long. So I decided to add three to be one for usage.

IMG_20240510_134239_125.jpg

IMG_20240510_134216_369.jpg

IMG_20240510_134212_402.jpg

This was when the cutting off the empty bottle was done with a cutlass. Not too Sharp.

IMG_20240510_134339_904.jpg

IMG_20240510_134335_839.jpg

This was when I already perforated the empty Coca-Cola bottle. So I needed three 1 liter bottle for this. Your own case you may use any other possible channel you know but this was what was good for me.

IMG_20240510_134632_737.jpg

IMG_20240510_135306_253.jpg

IMG_20240510_140742_358.jpg

I used a black rubber to band it together for straight water penetration downward the soil. Also to make sure that other part of the sack received water from above.

IMG_20240510_140733_043.jpg

IMG_20240510_135603_654.jpg

The use of both black rubber and a wire mesh to tie it together. It was a little bit difficult but here we are.

IMG_20240510_135612_060.jpg

IMG_20240510_134640_664.jpg

  • This was when I was adding the soil around the empty poultry bag. This is also to make sure that they saw and the organic manual was properly fixed. There should be no space of any kind when doing this. So it was random motion packing techniques used.

IMG_20240510_162713_379.jpg

IMG_20240510_141252_130.jpg

IMG_20240510_163313_388.jpg

It was time consuming but I left everything for this because the results I need should be positive. That was why I dedicated a lot of time even though I was extremely tired but it worth it. I started making the mixture of the soil in circular form.

IMG_20240510_141233_355.jpg

IMG_20240510_141247_581.jpg

IMG_20240510_140849_556.jpg

This was after I already poured the mixture of the soil and the Organic Manure inside the empty poultry feedbag which I called the Mobile Sack. So I asked to use a wire to bind the top together living the empty bottle facing up with already cut surface as shown.

IMG_20240510_142925_616.jpg

IMG_20240510_162716_558.jpg

It is highly necessary for this because you need to ensure a very tight surface for no entry of too much water supply.

IMG_20240510_143035_072.jpg

IMG_20240510_142923_015.jpg

IMG_20240510_143038_677.jpg

THE TWO LAST STEPS.

Even from the pictures you can deduced that this once I was about to plant was a very matured sweet potato Vine. It grow up very thicken. That is one particular sign about how to identify a grown-up and fully matured Vine.

IMG_20240510_164045_275.jpg

IMG_20240510_163956_232.jpg

IMG_20240510_164003_585.jpg

  • When I ensured a very tightened top surface of the sack. There after I proceeded to the opening up of some selected point on the sack in which it will be a contact between the sweet potato vine and the soil as shown.

IMG_20240510_164248_125.jpg

IMG_20240510_164131_786.jpg

I went to the sweet potato section of the farm which I already planted the Vine some months ago for the purpose of planting it inside the mobile sack.

IMG_20240510_164005_889.jpg

IMG_20240510_164032_014.jpg

This was when I got back from the sweet potato section on the Farmland.

IMG_20240510_164105_852.jpg

IMG_20240510_164136_650.jpg

IMG_20240510_164250_659.jpg

So I needed to also ensure that it was a very good and matured sweet potato Vine. You need a lot of healthy Vine to perfect this particular task. And that was why I left the sweet potato vine to grow so many old and very matured Vine.

IMG_20240510_164252_830.jpg

IMG_20240510_164029_688.jpg

IMG_20240510_165558_305.jpg

IMG_20240510_165614_858.jpg

So I had to use a knife to make a holes inside the already covered tightened sack which it is as shown below.

IMG_20240510_164339_871.jpg

IMG_20240510_164347_507.jpg

IMG_20240510_164358_238.jpg

IMG_20240510_165612_173.jpg

As shown in the pictures this was when I was fixing the just the fully matured sweet potato vine inside the perforated holes. It is highly necessary for this to be done appropriately. Any kind of mistake may result into the negative effect on the potatoes ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ .

IMG_20240510_164437_093.jpg

IMG_20240510_164433_577.jpg

IMG_20240510_164515_360.jpg

IMG_20240510_170104_182.jpg

This was when I was done planting day sweet potato Vine.

IMG_20240510_170034_732.jpg

IMG_20240510_170037_518.jpg

  • This was after I finished the whole planting so I also added a lot of water after it was finally done so that for the next two or three days it may not need to add water again.
