When you understand that you are created in the image of God, and God looks at everything from an eternal perspective, you no longer pay attention to times and dates..
No longer do you look back with regret, no longer do you look hopefully into the future, and no longer are you afraid of death, which does not exist..
No longer do you try to be "here and now", "live in the present".. but simply with all your being you feel complete unity and immeasurable freedom, you dissolve in eternity, and enjoy some unknown all-consuming state of "I am"..
lately, this has been very real...these thoughts that you've shared.
so real and concrete, but then just as fast they float away and disappear like a fine mist. I don't know what that says about my understanding, if I can grasp, but not hold it.
in the darkest times of my life, it seemed near and dear and vital, almost making me long to STAY in those times of suffering.
because I knew that what was real was seemingly even more real right there.
but the human part of me also longed for an easier time
I think really....the only solution that lasts is when the race is run and we hear well done good and faithful servant.
and that seems like it can never come fast enough
