The Clearwater River in Wells Gray Park, British Columbia, Canada is a powerful river, rich with dramatic rapids and waterfalls.
This photo was taken at the bottom of a series of low falls and rapids known as Baileys Chute in honour of the engineer Jim Bailey who drowned in this spot when his canoe overturned. Bailey was the designer of a bridge over one of the major rivers that flow into the Clearwater from the high plateau to the north.
That sure looks like a powerful river. Nice shot! Thanks for joining the #POBphotocontest!
