Lights in the sky dragging the weather with them - Central Missouri, USA - November, 8th 2023 approximately 7pm CST

My son-in-law came home from work last night. He and my daughter are living on my property now. The stranger parts of this post I am reporting second hand based upon what he told us when he got home. There are a few of my own notes to add.

He got off work (does roofing) and was near Columbia, MO. He started driving home and would have been heading in the direction of Jefferson City. He noticed a line of lights that was long and a lot of lights. The odd thing is the sky was clear but clouds seemed to be coming right behind these lights. It is a little over an hour drive from there to my house. He watched these lights head southward past Jefferson City, and in the direction of Osage Beach. He got home and immediately started telling us about it.

I asked him if they disappeared. He said no, he had watched them the entire way and in fact he had missed the turn off for the house because he was paying attention to them. I asked him if I walked outside now I could still see them. He said they were headed south and seemed to be somehow pulling the clouds with them.

I walked outside. It was windy. The sky was completely overcast and dark. No stars visible. Could see the shadows of clouds in the darkness. I found myself thinking about how if a tornado happened to come in this situation it was too dark and you wouldn't see it. Fortunately tornadoes often have lightning so if that had been the type of weather something could still be seen in the flashes.

No lightning. It was windy and overcast.

I went in and fired up Accuweather so I could check the weather radar. The weather radar showed clear skies.

Family members tried some other weather services. All were showing clear skies. No color anywhere near us for hundreds of miles.

What I saw outside I would have expected to show something. It showed nothing. I didn't see lights. I just saw darkness.

About an hour later I went outside with my dog. The skies were completely clear and the bright stars were visible everywhere.

I don't know what it was and I didn't witness the lights myself. It was interesting enough though to me personally that I wanted to post about it.

Perhaps it matters. Perhaps it does not.

Sort:

seemed to be somehow pulling the clouds with them.

That is amazing, there's something MANMADE going on here, manipulation of the weather to demonstrate "godlike' powers. But how they can move clouds is beyond me. On the subject of impossible, how can a tropical storm with no rain form into a CAT5 hurricane in the middle of the night (still with no rain) right over a major city? Completely unnatural... or supernatural.

Look up hurricane OTIS

Based on the description, my first guess would be sunlight or moonlight reflecting off the leading edge of the clouds as they rolled in. Weather radar doesn't typically show anything unless it is actually raining though satellite imagery should show the clouds.

Second guess? UFOs towing a cloud blanket to tuck us in...

Whether you've heard the harps of angels, or the HAARP of men, I cannot say, but it is odd, and that is sure.

Thanks!

Yeah I have been aware of HAARP for a long time. This didn't seem to be that unless it's usage somehow manifests lights.
