There are so many ways that I let myself wander and explore creatively. One of my favorites is playing with BRYCE. Bryce is a simple to use 3D landscape modeler. Apart from the landscapes, you can create all sorts of wild things. It really is a wonderful place to let your imagination run free.
I've been playing around with glass and metaballs this week and here are a few of my favorite scenes I have created.

TURNAROUND

I originally started this with just the glass bubble oozing down the monolith when I had the idea of having a new bubble form from the seepage to take the place of the last one on the monument.

MISS CRYSTALLINE

I wanted to build a 'person' out of the metaballs. Originally she was going to be made of wood but the grain didn't work so well with the body style. So I changed the landscape from a grass field to flowing liquid silver and change her full body to crystal, except the eyes, they are gold orbs. The three balls you see outside of each hand were originally fingers. I thought it would be fun to have them disconnected but close by.

REFLECTIONS

Playing with reflections is always a lot of fun. In this scene I just created metaballs without any transformation. There is one large central ball and eight smaller balls created. The fantastic part of this for me is seeing how many reflections you can generate before the picture becomes 'clunky'.
