Last night before going to bed and as I was trying to CLAIM all my REWARDs from other tribes through Hive-Engine (please tell me if there is any alternative to this one as sometimes I have to click it like 5 times in order for me to claim all tokens at once. Not sure if this is only a delay or what but can be pretty annoying at times) I was surprised to see POB hit $1.4!!!
I know I've said I will be STAKING STAKING STAKING all my POB rewards probably till I hit 1000POB (which is also my goal before this year ends) but last night I finally broke that promise.
I only have 3 liquid POB rewards last night after immediately staking most of my POB rewards an hour or two after getting them but I managed to sell those 3 POB above $1.
I then immediately put a BUY order for POB at half the price and managed to get my 3 POB to 6.9 POB this morning to which I will be staking later today.
This actually got me thinking whether I should immediately just STAKE my POB rewards immediately or try BUY/SELL~ing them on the market to get them near double again then stake it.
I have been tracking the POB price for days now and the price is still not stable. One day it is at $0.750 and the other it is at $0.5.
So yeah I might try to actually do this. Probably will not STAKE ALL of them immediately as I've initially said but will try to stake only HALF and let the other HALF buy/sell~ing in the market. If lucky I might be able to get to 1000 POB way earlier than what I expected.
Currently I am at 124 POB (excluding the 6.9 POB I got last night) exactly after a week of getting myself to 100 POB. Today also starts the day I will see my curation rewards go up after @rxhector delegated me POB (Thanks again!). So I might actually reach 1000 POB sooner than what I expected.
Hive Engine shows the high was 2.5 HIVE; So I guess the USD price would have been $1.40.
leodex.io is an alternative to Hive-Engine. The nice thing about LeoDex is that it shows the value of staked tokens.
There is a delay in claiming tokens. I like to examine the blockchain explorer after each transaction. This is your page:

It appears that claiming tokens simply places a commend in the Scotbot queue. After pressing the "claim all tokens" you should see the transactions appear one by one.
I am not certain if claiming the tokens is necessary. The tokens seem to appear in my account, even if I don't claim them. I am not sure how that works. Claiming accelerates the process.
Yesterday I had 0.64 liquid POB and noticed the huge gap between ask and bid. I placed a sale order at 1.99 and it executed. Hooray!
It is really fun to have big profits on micro-sales.
The huge gaps happen because Hive-Engine lacks liquidity. Hive Engine says the 24 hour trading volume for POB was just 2,876 . A hundred dollar purchase or sale can create a huge swing in the price.
FWIW: I used the winnings from my POB sale to buy LEO which was down at the time. Last month I sold LEO to buy POB.
What I love more about LeoDex is that they are always on Dark Mode which is easy on the eyes. Oh and Thanks for the HE Explorer link :)
Same here. There are times where I see my liquid rewards automatically in my account and sometimes where I need to manually claim them. I tend to manually claim them though and immediately stake them whenever my author rewards are out.

I don't have any intention of doing any powerdown on LEO and POB atm but might play around with half of my liquid rewards from both platforms from now on seeing how the prices goes up and down these past few days.
When there's a large gap between bid and ask, it is often possible to make a little bit of money playing the spread.
I've played the game where I had both the high bid and low ask. The game can result in a trickle of money. Of course a big swing up or down is a guaranteed loss.
Of course the daily volume on most coins is so small that the effort to place the transactions is worth more than the rewards.

Ohh I would love to see POB reaching $10 but at the moment I would already be satisfied if it solidifies it's ground above $1. :)

I too did not expect this. I guess this tribe attracts more users compared to other tribes since they don't limit their topics to a specific one. Hopefully these stays on for a long time (I mean the market value xD)
I noticed this too.. but its back down again, probably someone wanted to buy into POB with a big stake that temporarily pushed the price up.
as for staking, the rewards have a really high yield, at the moment as the coin is in its infancy, so staking is a really good option if you want to curate and contribute to the community, but if that's not your thing and you want to trade the coin that's beneficial to the community too, as it provides liquidity in the markets.
