Canadian courts will be hearing the final arguments in the case of Meng Wanzhou's extradition to the US. Meng was arrested on December 1st, 2018 for violating US sanctions against Iran. Her defense lawyer is currently basing their legal strategy on an argument that US Officials improperly provided evidence to the judge for her extradition hearing.
The stakes are high in this geopolitically fueled proceeding, Canadian's have arguably been detained and subjected to inhumane prison conditions as a retaliation toward Canada for participating in other countries' affairs. This would demonstrate a significant lack of understanding from China, specifically about the partnerships that were formed after world war 2. Canada and the US come as a pair internationally in any war crime tribunal involving the Pacific and Atlantic trade agreements. Canada is in fact obligated to arrest war criminals wanted in the US, the moral of the story is Huawei violated sanctions placed against Iran.
Meng Wenhouz will face trial in the US for defrauding HSBC by lying to them about Hauwei's war crimes in Tehran.

This is from her book and was a quote taken from her early days in the company, finding a foundation for the financial aspects of Huawei. The later consequence of this amateur financial team is that they failed to comply with the constantly evolving US sanctions being placed on countries around the world while Donald Trump was President.
This doesn't demonstrate a significant sense of due diligence on Meng's behalf, her argument posed by her lawyer is a claim claiming the prosecution didn't perform their due diligence.
