The little fact about owls I told you will lead us into what happened while we are on night Patrol during the celebration of 61st independent day in NIGERIA on the 3rd Oct 2021... As I have earlier introduced myself and my profession as a cop , Currently I am serving at Ivo police Division, Ishiagu in IVO Local Government Area of Ebonyi state one of the thirteenth Local Government Areas in Ebonyi state.

What actually happened was on the night of the 61st independence day , on the above mentioned date the time was 00:58hrs , I was the one driving our Patrol vehicle we were coming back from Crush Rock quarry company, the following men were inside the Nissan 4×4 pick-up van we were rolling with
One CSP. Mohammed the divisional police officer (DPO) and two other ranks , just two poles away from our main division, this owl hit our van in motion 😢😢😢 I don't even know if I was the one who hit the owl, Never mind ... what I know is that the little owl which I do not know if it is male or female gave up the ghost 👻 instanter, meanwhile when the incident happened, I had to step on the breaks and went across the road to the pedestrian only to see that this little owl is dead. I took it along with me and showed it to other officers in the vehicle. #Therefore, the main reason of making this post is to let you know how the people of ISHIAGU community in Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State view the very bird that committed suicide with our police patrol van 🥵🥵🥵 .

Can you imagine that many women here said that if one is pregnant and sees the bird owl that the pregnant woman is likely to give birth to a WITCH baby or babies as the case maybe
Others says that when u sleep and hear the voice of the owl in the midnight that it is a sign of misfortune and many other bad thing associated with it.

MY OWN VIEW: I just see this little owl bird as normal bird and nothing attached to it .
Moreso, with the little research about this bird owls I discovered that Africans are not only people who see this bird owl as an evil bird, superstitions like these also exist in America and Europe, you can see examples of these in the book" The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain".
