RE: Maybe an Even Better Time to Start Learning About Unreal Engine (Unity Upset and Blockchain Integration)

in Proof of Brain2 years ago

Looks like good stuff. Looked at godot some a while back. Knew about Unity like some, but not about Unreal Engine's blockchain plugins. Probably limited to ethereum and few others with more smart contract support that bitcoin and Hive do not have (yet).

I've been trying to research this more and understand it. Apparently blockchain integration is possible in Godot also. If I am understanding what I am reading it might be possible to custom integrate Hive into Unreal Engine using JSON RPC Request feature. The Unreal Engine plugin for blockchain license costs $299.99.

My understanding as a beginner is tenuous so take all this with a grain of salt. Anybody else who knows more than me please feel free to affirm or correct me.

The GoDot documentation appears to be more for encrypting and decrypting with "crypto" technology, but not "cryptocurrency. (From initial page.) Would have to read more to see more.

Think it is possible yes. However it looks like it is designed to work with smart contracts. So there would be additional work to replace smart contracts in another place in the "stack". Does support "custom" which would certainly include Hive.

You're probably right about that. I want to learn about creating smart contracts on Hive also. There's a lot I need to learn.

Yes. Some have been wanting to for years. Sounds like we are getting closer. We shall see what the latest developments are from Hivefest this week.
