We are living in a very connected world... Every single information is at the tip of a click, or a finger press, but still, it looks like we forgot how to communicate with each other... It looks like there has never been more misunderstandings than these days... We forgot about the most important rule of a dialogue... To listen to others...

To be honest, I'm guilty of that! As a matter of fact, while I was writing this post, I got a call from a friend on my mobile phone and I didn't answer!?! Why? Well, I put my phone on MUTE! 😃 And why is that? I suppose annoyed by spam callers that are so big time-wasters... Not an excuse... Especially if I wasn't there for my friend because of some snake-oil sellers! Negativity won, not good!
On the other side, I remember I was good at those things... I was patient, I was a very good listener... maybe even too good (too many "friend-zones" 😃)... In my teenage years, I remember that many of my friends came to me, sharing their personal stories, asking for advice... When I had some other ventures in my adult life, I had clients who would tell me their stories, without me asking anything! In some moments, it would become very awkward... 😃
Back to HIVE... The pattern I often see on HIVE is that many things have been done without "listening" to the community... Also, we should have in mind that if we want to be considered as a decentralized community, anyone can do whatever he/she want to do, without communicating with anyone else! Of course, bad moves and doing bad things usually get punished by the community... What I think is good for the community isn't usually the same as what YOU think... In the end, maybe both of us are wrong and neither of things is good for the community!
To avoid that, we should have more conversation and dialogue on HIVE... But, not the way I talk and you do what I told you... But rather normal talk, I talk, you listen, you talk, I listen... And in the end, we find the common solution that is good for everyone!
So, arm yourself with patience, respect, and open your ears to listen to others... If you think that you are the smartest person in the room without leaving space for others, you could be very wrong... Listening is not a weakness; it's very mighty power!

This week, we have mined 87 BEE tokens in total!!! 3 less than last time!
We didn't get new delegators this week, but we got new delegations from old members! Thanks guys! Appreciate your support!

What about the bonus tokens?
This time, I'm distributing some LEO tokens as a bonus to delegators... It looks like the LEO proposal didn't collect enough votes for their DHF proposal, but that didn't stop them from creating useful apps and growing their network! As the future isn't uncertain for inLEO, the token price has stabilized and the chart looks much better than a few months ago... We can see some higher lows and higher highs, so we will see where it will go in the next few months!
There will be distributed 110 LEO tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... 87 BEE tokens and 110 LEO tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 6.817%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 8.191%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

lol you probably hit the nail on the head...there is a lot of "do as I say but not as I do" and attacking people and communities that they don't understand....its nasty out there!
I didn't even think about that, but you are right... We have a lot of that too... Many people have a short trigger, and faster tongue than brain... (if that saying exists in English) 😂
Despite all that, I still believe that good things come to the surface (or shit comes to the surface, becoming more visible 😂), and bad actors get kicked out of the game... It's just a matter of time...

You are right about listening to others. But you still have to maintain some distance; otherwise, it turns into a cult and an obsession with something. I must admit that I do not like listening to such people.
You can still listen and disagree... I didn't say you have to comply... 😃 IMO, everyone must have the right to say (and to be heard), but not everyone is right, of course... I say the world is flat, you say it's not... we disagree and move on... 😃

Like you, I probably have been a pretty good listener. Probably still am, with a condition: that I am not under stress or focused on something while someone tries to tell me something. I'm not always a great listener then. So there is room for improvement. But I also know people who rarely hear what the other person is saying. Even more, they don't give them the chance to say anything, because they do all the talking... 😄
In another comment, I shared my experience in Spain, where that kind of attitude is a lot more visible... People like to talk at the same time, and nobody is listening... lol... I used to watch Spanish TV with Spanish subtitles (to practice writing and listening at the same time), and many times, in Spanish movies, you could see subtitles like this:

one thing i always say i would like more on hive is if project developers would actually speak with each other more, and listened more. (easy for me to say i am not building any of it, but as someone who wants to try everything, i seen a lot of stupid arguments just because non of the see the other side)
I don't want to generalize, but many times, developers think that they are doing things right and all the other projects are doing wrong... I had something similar in "regular business" too... Instead of competing, it's very hard to explain to people that collaborating can be a lot more beneficial...
Maybe an EGO issue, or something else.. Don't know...

Unfortunately, I have the same feeling... There was something that I noticed almost on the first day I came to Spain... You see 3-4 people walking by the sea, and ALL of them are talking simultaneously!?!? Like, WTF? Who is listening? To whom are they talking? 😂
The "I am right, you're wrong" mentality is why people who shoots first before asking questions on Hive. For decentralization to survive we need diplomacy. I know we have 20 witnesses up there doing their thing, but sometimes it just feels like they don't listen to anything that's happening that's happening.
I think somehow, everyone has been guilty of talking without bothering to listen or focus on feedback
Yeah, I had the same feeling... Our top whales lose the connection with the community... They communicate with each other (not always, not all), but rarely go out there to mix with the masses... to check out the pulse of the community... and to listen...
I am maintaining my staus quo in LEO now, neither buying nor selling.
On the other note, HiveEngine created the use case for BEED, it means BEE can have more value as BEED is generated by burning BEE.
Regarding LEO, I'm in the same boat as you... And regarding BEE, I know about the BEED token, but still don't see any meaningful use case... Except the newest drama... 😀
I think written language has also become an obstacle for good communication in recent years as its usage has been increased after pandemic.
Language barriers were always there, but with so many good translator tools, that can't be our excuse for bad communication... We can do better!
it's like in real life, no one is willing to listen anymore because anyone is the truth holder and others are wrong... on hive, the bigger the stake the bigger the voice speaking 😅
The thing on HIVE, the bigger your stake, the louder you are... But I heard some small stakers being vocal too... We always come to the beginning... If you want to listen, you can find both sides and listen... If not, you will not listen to anybody, but yourself... Which isn't a "community way", definitely... 🤣
Those spam callers are annoying. I have noticed that some of the calls I get labeled as potentially scams, and I just hang up those if they don't seem legit after 10 seconds.
I also think that communication is key. There are alot of things that can be misundestood.

It is absolutely true that due to social media, we can all connect with each other every second, but we forget that we should speak to each other with a lot of respect so that the other person is not hurt and they are not worried because of us. So, we all have to learn this.
Yeah... A lot of the time, people are more aggressive and rude while talking on the Internet, which isn't the case in IRL conversations...
