FungiFriday: Some Tropical Rainforest Mushrooms in Sumatra

Hello everyone! I have some photos of tropical rainforest mushrooms for the #FungiFriday challenge. These were taken during a mushroom walk in the Alue Liem woods last January.

I noticed a small cluster of pale purple parachutes (Marasmius sp.) there. At first glance, they looked like purple pinwheels. But purple pinwheels look prettier.

I thought I would find more of them there. But in fact, I only got this one.

At the same time, I also found another cluster of mushrooms from the Marasmius species. These are smaller than the pale purple parachute fungus.

Those caps resemble chips, are pale white, and have a rusty surface. Some grow on wet fallen coconut leaves, while others grow on rotting coconut fronds.
