Huge Fungus habitat beneath abandoned bridge

in FungiFriday27 days ago (edited)

Hello guys how are you I am posting something in this community after a very long time as during all this time span I didn't find anything related to fungus but as in my region the monsoon season is at its peak due to which it usually really rain each day and as we all know the fungus usually grow in rainy seasons so here everywhere big and small funges are growing.

A few days ago I was on vacation with my cousin and on the way to his town there is a abandoned bridge which connect to the town when we were walking on the bridge towards the town I saw something white on the land below the bridge we both were so curious that what it could be. There were also some shallow ponds over their beneath the bridge and tall grass was everywhere so it was quite risky to go there as in this season there are a lot of snakes and other nasty insects are outside.

On reaching there we discovered that there a lot of fungus are growing to be honest these fungus were not looking normal and I was not familiar with these kind of fungi they were literally huge and were growing in clusters

To be honest I was very glad to see whatever they were so I tried to capture a lot of images of them but all of those were of same species I was expecting a variety of fungi but they were of same kind even there size was almost of same but somewhere very bigger and somewhere small like the very growing.

These fungies were quite unfamiliar with others like the were just about to bloom as in case of flowers the first create a bud and then the buds into a flower probably in same case of fungies they first pop out of the soil and then Bloom and these buds are almost ready for bloom.

From this overall image you can understand that how abundance amount of fungus was growing beneath the bridge they were a lot and their almost growing after 2 days of rain I also saw many fungus which were whithered probably I came late but still I got a good amount of fresh fungi to see.

Have a look at these huge lungs 🫁 yes to be honest I myself don't know that what is the this part beneath the cap of mushroom is called but in my language I called them the lungs of mushrooms as I think they breath from here kinda hilarious.

One more shot of the abundance of fungies

I capture this image just for showing an estimation that how bigger they were by campring them with my hand they were huge heavy but the sad thing is that I don't think that they were edible if there is any guy who can suggest that the edible or not I will be very glad to know.

When we were coming back I saw that on the stump of a tree a lot of tiny awkward fungi were also popping out so I capture a quick shot and it was kind of blur but I'm still attaching it as it was looking fine.
