From a farmer's perspective | A look at Farming Tales

Hello Farmers

After spending so much time tilling the land on Farming Tales, it's time for me to share some feedback and personal opinions with both you and the game's creators regarding its development and potential future as an amazing play-to-earn game.

Gratz to the Team

To start, I'd like to congratulate the game's developers on their magnificent work thus far. They have managed to continue working and introducing constant updates despite the dark period that the crypto world is going through. Thanks to these updates, the game has managed to maintain its appeal and secure a good position within the WAX NFT market.
All of the new features introduced over time have brought even more value to the game and its main tokens. Even in a difficult market, developers have managed to keep the game's user base engaged and involved, which is already a major accomplishment in my eyes.

Another noteworthy aspect is the team's transparency, as they have never attempted to hide anything. Knowing that those behind the game are from the Hive community, I have trusted them from the start. The community that has formed on Hive is truly transparent and united, making it the best community in the crypto world so far, even if few are aware of this fact.
Despite everything, I can say that the team has kept their promises and exceeded my expectations. Even when something went wrong, they were quick to fix it while listening to the community and players' suggestions. Mistakes and mishaps can always happen in this world, but it's important to roll up one's sleeves and fix them.

One of the things I appreciate most about this game is its tokenomics. Although having three tokens may seem complicated, I find that their usage has been almost perfectly balanced, allowing for good demand and supply of all three tokens, including in regard to farm products.
Thanks to future developments, I am certain that we will see more improvements, though not everyone will always be happy with the changes made. One of the most discussed updates recently was the reduction in SEST emissions from products, which disappointed many users as the value of farm products dropped by 80%. In the short term, this variation may destabilize many users, but I believe that this move was made for the good of the game, and in the long run, we could all benefit from this change.

Some Thoughts

In my opinion, one of the biggest challenges for this game is onboarding new users. Perhaps there's need to invest more to make the game known to as many people as possible, but I am confident that this objective can be achieved easily with the next bull market.

As far as the link between the game and real-life farming is concerned, I would love to see a system developed in the future that connects game products to real products. This would provide more utility to products and stop selling pressure that is devaluing them, causing players to buy NFTs to receive tangible and usable goods in their daily lives.
Furthermore, another system I've thought of to prevent products from being sold for cheap is to develop weekly quests that enable players to trade large quantities of products with more supply for smaller amounts of products with less supply. This would require the market data to be constantly updated to allow developers to stop or change the quests when the market returns to equilibrium. For example, we could put 200 grapes in a pool where one grape can be obtained for every 1000 chicken eggs. Once the 200 grapes have been used up, the quest stops.

Alternatively, similar systems can be developed to burn excess NFTs and reward players with badges to participate in special events or crafting special products or real-life events. Another option is to collaborate with other NFT projects and give out whitelist access to these other projects in exchange for X products, or hold lotteries where players receive a ticket for every X products spent, and the winner can receive WAX or various NFTs.

As mentioned before, I would also love to see real-life events where players can meet the team and other players, visit the real farm, and see fields of saffron and bees. Since the game is rooted in a real farm, I think many players would enjoy visiting it.

Finally, I would like to see improvements on the mini-games. Although they have been recently launched, it will take some time to perfect them. We should strive to make them more engaging so that players do not need two or three others to participate. The tractor races look really fun, but I haven't been able to participate yet because I can't manage to be available when there are other players around. Maybe in the future, we will see other mini-games that can be played solo, bringing more players to participate and making the AUREUS system work even better.
