Three-Leafed Lemon Kush

What's up friends and fellow weed lovers? It's been almost 2 years since I last posted/attempted a grow, which didn't end very well after I moved and was forced to relocate my plants. I actually have a draft still written up about that update that I never finished, but long story short, things took a turn for the worst and all of my plants died. I wasn't really in the headspace or position to try again, so I just abandoned growing all together.

That is, until 2 weeks ago I decided to finally try again. I still have all the seeds I did from more than 2 years ago, and while they aren't fresh I figured they would still be viable. I had a lot of different strains to choose from, but I decided to go with a few testers that I haven't successfully grown yet, and started the germination process around March 24th or so.

Germination

Originally I only started 2 seeds, but both had failed using the ziplock and paper towel method, and eventually just molded unfortunately. So then I tried again, but this time I germinated them in a cup of water, which worked very well. I believe I started them on Monday the 24th of March, and by Friday they all had pretty good tap root tails going.

One of the Autoflower seeds

Currently, I have 4 different strains planted, two of them are feminized photoperiod plants, and the other two are feminized autoflower plants which are all listed below.

Feminized Photoperiod

This strain was a discord gift from Irvine Seed Co that I have yet to have success with. This is my last seed of this strain, so I'll either try to clone her or see if she grows any “End Of Life” (EOL) seeds to keep her genetics going. This one is special to me because she has a bit of a mutation going on, and I'll be interested to see how she develops. Personally, I've never seen a plant with 3 water leaves like that, so I think it's pretty neat!

Northern Lights x Perfect Circle -
This is also the last seed I have of the Northern Lights x Perfect Circle strain from Irvine Seed Co that I got over 2 years ago now. It's amazing to me that seeds can be stored for so long and still produce a seedling! Again, since this is the last seed I have of this strain, I will be attempting to clone her or push her to the end of her cycle to see if she drops any seeds.

Feminized Autoflower

Novakane -
I'm extremely excited for this strain, which I got from BIF Beans as a tester strain. Unfortunately I had a lot of personal things going on and wasn't able to perform the testing as required, so I'm excited to be able to finally give this one a go. Macronut is an amazing breeder, and the name alone sounds wonderful, so I can't wait to finally taste it when she's done.

Grape Gorilla Poison -
This was yet another tester strain that I received from BIF Beans, which was also bred by Macronut. This is another strain that I wasn't able to finish on my last grow, so I hope to be able to do her justice this time! I'm pretty sure I have a few more seeds left of this one, so I may end up growing her again in the future if I like it.

Planting

The weather has still been pretty cold, so I figured I would start them indoors before moving them outside when the weather picked up. I already had my light up and going, with garden herbs and veggies starting as well so I just used some of the degradable pots and seed starter soil we got from Walmart when they were ready to plant.

Officially, all 4 of them were planted on March 28, 2025 and are receiving 14 hours of light per day on an automatic timer. Currently I'm using a very basic $20 Amazon grow light that has around a 1x1 footprint and pushes out around 60 watts I believe, which I'm very impressed with. I also have a Mars Hydro light I believe, but I'm not sure exactly what it is at this point so I'll have to look.

Watering has been pretty easy, I normally just pour water into the container that the pots are sitting in and let the pots absorb the water, but I don't want to over water them either, so I alternate between that and pouring water directly at the base of the plant.

Looking Forward

I don't plan on doing anything special on this go around, other than some light nutrient feeding and possibly some LST just to get back into the swing of things. I also need to get better about taking photos and notes about watering and feeding habits. I've never been good at pruning either, so if anyone has any tips or tricks please feel free to share!

As of today (Sunday, April 13th) they are officially 16 days old, and the weather is definitely getting warmer, so I hope to plant them outdoors here soon! From here on I'll try to post weekly updates to show how they are progressing! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you on the next one! ✌🏼💚

Thank you brother, it feels good to be back! I hope all is well over on your end too!

Maybe it's a clover?? Oh wait that's 4 leaves.. good luck and happy growing

That would be lucky one for sure if it had 4 leaves! But thanks man, I appreciate it! I just hope I don't kill them off this time 🤣
