HD or Nah? I don't think this should even be a question.
But since this prompt already looks like a debate, let's get right into it.
Take a look at these images. They are screenshots of two movies.
How about now? Should this debate still continue?
See let’s just get one thing straight; if the video I’m watching is not in HD, I’m not watching it. And that's on period. Like I really don’t care how good the plot is, who the actors are, or how many awards the movie has won. If I see anything looking like grainy pixels, low resolution, or anything below 1080p…I’m out.
I honestly cannot find myself sitting through bad-quality content. My friends would say, “Dinma you're too dramatic.” But I’m not even being dramatic at this point; it’s just a lifestyle.
We legit live in an era where visuals are everything. Like everything. I’m talking crisp shots, vibrant colors, and details that are so sharp that I can literally count every pore on someone’s face. That’s the standard guys. And I’m not lowering it at all.
I know someone will say, “Were you not watching blurry videos in the early 2000s?”
Well, that was then and that was because we literally had no choice since technology was still evolving. But not in this age and time.
I’ve fully convinced myself that watching something in HD can actually make it better; even if the movie has a poor plot. Like, I’ll be deep into a film that has absolutely no plot, and I won’t even care as long as the picture is giving, the lighting is flawless with immaculate visuals. I just fall in love automatically without even realizing it.
That’s why I don’t even hesitate to spend money just to go to the cinema. I’m the kind of person that will absolutely fly to the cinema without any company just because I saw a trailer with crazy visuals. No dear, I'm not ashamed to admit it.
How do you feel, when the opening scene of a movie starts and everything is crystal clear? It's so hypnotizing! I literally forget I've got problems.
The other day I found myself watching a cooking video in 4K and yea that's one chore I enjoy doing (cooking) and I found myself admiring how beautiful the steam coming off the food looked.
Low-quality videos instantly give me the ick. I’m sorry, but if you try sending me a video in 240p in 2025, you actually don’t respect me. Because think about it, we’ve got the tech and the internet speed. So there’s actually no excuse for that kind of disrespect.
So yeah, maybe I’m just a little bit extra about my visuals, but at least I’m legit self-aware and I don't aim to settle for less.

The photo comparison from the start nailed it💯.
Watching blurry videos is more like watching a video from a partial sightedness😅.
But then, even when I'm not into blurry videos, these videos consume less or don't you want to spend less MB watching or downloading? Lol😅
If I can spend money to go to the cinema because I need quality content, then how much can I spend just to get quality content.
My dear, low quality content is something I can’t afford to sit through.
Thanks for engaging on my post 🙏
