A VISUAL CONNOISSEUR

First of all, I’m not someone that watches movies a lot but, I’m very selective when it comes to the media quality, that is part of the reasons why I don’t watch a lot of movies. Well, I have become really less interested in the quality of my videos lately because I just want to gain a knowledge or two from the video or even image on my screen. For me, a movie or image with a good quality is priceless. It gives you this feeling of satisfaction and full interest.

It took me a long time to stop judging a movie’s performance from the quality of the video, lol. Wait! Why am I loling, like seriously, it took me a really long time. Back then, I will always tell my siblings we shouldn’t watch a particular movie because the media quality was too poor and I doubt it would be interesting and I guess they were like me too and we will just move to the next one. But interesting , that changed the day I was proven otherwise. I’m very selective of the things I feed my eyes with, I want it to be good and captivating.

At some point, I even started saving up money just to get a new phone with a better camera output. It took me two years to successfully save for it but I did and these days, I feel so happy anytime I take a photo of basically anything because the quality is more than 50% better than before. Sometimes people asks me to take a picture of them and send it to them later via WhatsApp as photos and in my mind I will be like, okay. But then, I know that sometimes the quality is not always as it appears after sending it that way so I most times send it as documents.

I personally have a thing for animation movies like boss baby, Moana, spies in disguise and the likes because of the media quality. Like, that was the first reason I liked them and then of course, they are great animation movies too, hehe. So, if ever in the future you are recommending a movie or something like a video for me, the easiest way to get me interested is making sure the quality is top notch and I won’t even think so much about it before checking it out.

But, that doesn’t mean in anyway that I don’t watch movies with low quality. I mean, I watched the movie “into the badlands”, a series! From start to the end and the quality was really not great. But the movie itself was great and that is another thing that can keep me interested, hehe. I mean, I belief a lot of persons are like me and that is why we sometimes struggle to watch the news especially my Nigerian brethren, lol. Most of those Nigerian news channels have really poor media coverage and it’s hard to keep watching that, for me, it gets annoying.

Well, well, I believe I have said enough about my preference when it comes to media quality, I care so much about it. This is my response to the Digi-prompt. Feel free to check it out and give your response too.
