The Philippines is a tropical country so it is understandable that every Summer is agonizing! 😩 I mean, the temperature is averaging 33 degrees Celsius.
Ahh~ the summer heat is beating us all where I am from. 🥵 No wonder everyone is carrying their tumblers and portable fans. I just noticed the temperature going up just a few days ago. Perhaps it is now the Summertime.
In connection to this, I had to take cover in the nearest cafe shop because I might pass out due to overheating.
I was about to meet a friend for lunch and I think she was a bit late so no problem, I will just stand on the curbside. While waiting for her, just a few scrolls on PeakD or Tiktok will keep me occupied.
Oh, man, what was she taking so long? I suddenly felt dizzy in combination of the dust, hot steam coming from the road, and glaring heat.
I told her that I would just be waiting in the nearest cafe.
That first cold air blown to my face was a relief! 😮💨 Of course, I had to order something cold so that the staff would not kick me out! 😝 But, hey, this is another gem found not on purpose. 😋
The cafe was sparkling clean, quiet, relaxing, and well-air-conditioned. I like the modern and brutalist finish of the walls. Great choice of furniture too.
People can leave their valuable things here because the cafe is covered with CCTV. I bet this person is beaten up with the heat too. Well, aside from that, this place is conducive to studying and working since the cafe offers free Wi-Fi and power usage.
Of course, there were rules imposed for customers, especially for overstayers. There was a controversy in the Philippines about students using cafe shops as libraries and sleeping quarters, which then results to overstaying the place.
Gian cookies were displayed on the acrylic shelf. Just under a dollar for a chocolate cookie is a steal! 😋 I wonder if they have other cookies for sale or maybe it was already late and they ran out of displays.
As always, I ordered the matcha latte on ice. They only had one size so no choice but to finish this big size. I got this drink for 3.15 USD. Not bad for someone who will be using the Wi-Fi and power for two hours.
That guitar on the corner is not mine. 😅 I think it is a decor of the cafe or maybe someone left it. I am too shy to ask if someone left it. 😆
Surprisingly, their matcha latte was oh-so-good! I mean good, I would rate it as 9.5/10! 😋🍵 I have been to a cafe with a bad matcha. Compared to this, it is far better. It had a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Though the ice could be lessened coz it is just taking up the space thus less drink. 😆
My friend arrived five minutes later. Just the right time to take pictures of the cafe. Lucky me they only had one customer because normally I will not do it if there are too many people. 🤭

What a clean aesthetic! I love the place just unfortunate, they serve the beverage on those cups 😃. Is co-working spots popular there? because if there are a lot of students/freelancer, I think rather than making those rule, they can go to a cafe that supports working/studying from there for hours.
Oh, I forgot to mention that those overstayers only buy 1 drink for the whole stay. 😅 Thus taking advantage of the Wi-Fi and all.
Hmm, I think this cafe is not for long stays since it is not that spacious. It's probably nice for an hour or two stay.

I think 200 pesos is fair for a large drink, wifi and power usage for 2 hours. 😁 Since I did not make tambay, that 200 pesos is not sulit, haha!

The cookies look delicious, apparently they ran out and there were only a few left. I really liked the guitar, it seems like they left it forgotten, I imagine the owner was very sad when he lost his instrument.

The inside of the cafe ks quite therapeutic to look at. I could imagine how refreshed you will feel with the AC after escaping the dust and hot air outside
