Because of that, I stopped discovering new places, and I told myself I couldn’t let that happen—especially while living in THE COFFEE COUNTRY 😂. So now, at least once a week, I go out for a walk and step into the first café that catches my attention.
This week, I visited "El Portal," a café-pastry shop whose aroma called to me from across the street. The place isn’t very big, but it’s cozy, and besides serving great coffee—frothy and creamy, just how I like it—they offer a variety of desserts, from delicious alfajores to whole cakes you can take home for a celebration. It is located on a very busy and touristic avenue, but in a very quiet area called Laureles, which is where I am currently living, this area is characterized by the peace it transmits and how green it is due to its vegetation (you can see at least a little of this in the first photo).

Por esta razón, había dejado de conocer nuevos lugares y me dije a mi misma que no podía permitirme hacer eso mientras me encontraba EN EL PAÍS DEL CAFÉ 😂 Así que ahora, al menos una vez a la semana, salgo a caminar y entro a la primera cafetería que llama mi atención.
Esta semana visité, "El Portal", una cafetería-pastelería cuyo aroma me llamó desde el otro lado de la calle. El lugar no es muy grande, pero es bastante acogedor y además de un buen café, espumoso y cremoso, como me gusta, ofrecen una variedad de postres que van desde deliciosos alfajores hasta torta completa para llevar a casa para alguna celebración. Queda en una avenida bastante transitada y turística, pero en una zona muy tranquila llamada Laureles, que es donde estoy viviendo actualmente, esta zona se caracteriza por la paz que transmite y lo verde que es debido a su vegetación (pueden observar al menos un poco de esto en la primera foto).
