After CO.PÉ it is now time for HN.JA… An interesting decision for picking name for your coffee!

Hey, coffee fellas! It is new week so this means a new coffee for me. I cannot remember the last time I bought the same exact coffee again, with the little exception of my everyday kind of coffee. It is a Honduras Caballero coffee from the bulgarian famous Specialty Coffee seeker - Jordan Dabov and I like it for the fact it costs only anout $50 per kg and offers very good taste for the price…. But! This coffee is not the topic.

Yesterday I and my wife visited our favorite place in town where we both enjoyed a cup of double espresso. We have already tried this Ethiopian coffee which tasted great again. Quite fruitful start with thick and creamy finish.

And when we were there I saw that there were a few coffees left from the lithuanian roaster Crooked Nose & Coffee Stories. So I picked one of the last remaining coffees on the shelves. It is quite interesting how this guy decided to name his coffees. About two weeks ago, I shared with you a CO.PÉ coffee, which came from the Perez family farm in Colombia. And this time?

HN.JA is a coffee coming from Honduras. And what about JA?

El Jardin was established in 1981 and Mario Samuel Mejia Rodriguez inherited it from his father. The family has 4 generations of coffee growersthat now are interested in the productionof high quality coffees.

JA comes from El Jardin farm.

My filter setup is ready to meet these Natural processed beans, which promise to bring flavors like Grapes, Chocolate and Rum. And although this is nor fermented coffee, the Naturally processed coffees alwaus have some sort of fermentation which may pead to these liquor vibes in it.

Although my coffee brewing setup is far from perfect, I like it a lot and it manages to achieve very good results in the coffee taste. I constantly try to invest a little amoints of money and boost the brewing experience. As I have mentioned before, hot water kettle is a thing that I want to replace soon. But who knows when this will happen…

While I wait for the water to become of proper presing temperature it is time fore some more photos. The Hario V60 looks beautiful on photos and it is maybe only the Chemex brewer that looks better.

Water is ready, time for the first pour!

Blooming phase is very important, because it can control the whole profile of the coffee. You can make coffee sweeter, or lighter! But this is a whole big topic…

And of course, coffee is brewed after the breakfast is ready and waits to cool down a little bit. The little fellas are as excited about the sandwitches as their father is excited about the coffee being brewed. Just a few more minutes and everyone will be happy.

Although the coffee is not that expressive as the 200 hours fermented Colombia, it is quite good. I cannot really catch the Grape vibes, but Chocolate and Rum vibes are definitely there. There is also this fruitiness, but I really cannot tell if it is grape, or berry… or another kind of forest fruit. The coffee is really sweet, naturally!

And yes… when the kids and their parents are happy, then everything is perfectly fine! I believe that soon they will also want to try a sip from our coffee.

This will end my post… wish you an easy and a happy new week. Let the postive emotions lead you through the following days. See you soon!

Bye!

That's an odd name for a coffee, indeed.
Btw, the name 'Cameron' means crooked nose, so I read this as Cameron and Coffee Stories 😆
Jolly good time.jpg

Wow, it is the first time I hear this fact about the name Cameron! Funny 😄

The owner really had some good imagination when thinking of a name for his coffee!

Greetings friend, how great that entire experience you shared with us, where a trip for a coffee ended in a great purchase. It is also incredible how they manage to classify the coffees and from there give it the name, which has an excellent history, without a doubt you can see that it has a good color and in this way it can pass the test and the whole family can enjoy that great coffee in the morning hours. Successes.

Yeah, the approach of this roastery is very interesting. And it is about every single time, when I visit this coffee shop to find cool and unique coffees on the shelves.

But I actually missed taking coffee. It has really been a long time I actually took one I must confess

What a pleasant coffee experience you have, I think it is phenomenal that you try infinite varieties of coffee, I have certainly not seen that name, it looks great, its color,They reflect good grinding, enjoying a good coffee is priceless
