There's nothing like a cold cup of coffee with a dab of chocolate, after a long tiring day; especially during the summer season.
What makes it even better? If it all wasn't planned for, and a dynamic conversation too.
We had just entered the city that day, heading towards our homes, and just as we were about to head our different ways, we decided to stop for a coffee break and some snacks. It was around 8 PM at that time. We hadn't had much to eat that day, there was just too much work to take care of. So, we just had to stop for a bite and a little sip of coffee ASAP.
Since we didn't have the energy to travel the distance or walk towards a "posh cafe" that day, we just needed some food to eat and a decent cup of coffee. So, when we reached our stop, we started scouring the neighboring area for a decent coffee shop.
Fortunately, at our regular stoppage, there were 2 to 3 small different cafes located in one line, just by the main road.
They weren't like your usual spots where the "coffee connoisseurs" like to hang out and get their regular cup of takeaway coffee. You know what I mean, those cafes with the fancy decor, furniture, and machines, but these shops were still quite good; especially for those who'd rather not spend a substantial
The food and beverages they offer here are of decent quality, but for the price, you really can't complain. Compared to the top-end and posh cafes, you'd get the "same items" here for 50% less money. Of course, the ingredients they use aren't of top quality, so the price certainly makes sense, in both types of cafes. You won't get the best-tasting coffee in town here, but it's definitely nothing distasteful.
And to be honest, I liked the cold coffee they served, at least it wasn't full of sugar. Unlike most cafes, they maintained that balance in sweetness, with the combination of chocolate syrup and sugar. The snacks were alright too, for the price. We got some puff pastry to chow down on and devoured what was served in a matter of minutes. Because the last we had something to eat was at least 8 to 9 hours ago.
We finished our food and drinks in a matter of minutes, but we didn't leave right away, we were there for a little chat. We discussed business, investments, and new methods to apply to our current venture. After a while, we all were headed towards our home locations; after a long and tiring day.
The month of February was certainly a busy one. One with a lot of work, and to assist with all of that, we had a lot of coffee.
What awaits us ahead? I don't know, but I hope at least a good cup of coffee is on the menu.

I really need to learn to make some ice coffee at home. I used to make a decent cuppa, once upon a time, but I can't anymore. And these days it's not always possible to go out for a cool beverage; my current routine is quite hectic. 😬

Cold coffee is all right, especially on a hot summer day. You can't go wrong with it, it's a safe bet.
