HELLO EVERYONE!

In this blog, I'm going to share with you a very knowledgeable experience of the DRRM orientation or the Disaster Risk Reduction Management. It truly opened my mind and eyes to seeing new more opportunities to be a better individual to society and do the best that I can help those in need in any way possible.

The orientation happened on January 13, 2025. From 1 to 5 in the afternoon. Everyone who has class at that time was given an excuse letter to attend. The orientation was for those who are interested in being part of the CRMC's DRRM team.

The orientation started with laughter and positive energy with the question and answer. The emcee asked one or two representatives from each department, featuring their different reasons why they would like to be part of the DRRM community. Each one of those who were chosen to answer delivered their point well and practical. One even answered that she wanted to be part of the team because she wants to know what to do if one of her friends get totally drunk, she wants to assist her peers in a right and knowledgeable way, considering the fact that DRRM offers a wide variety of knowledge and response of what to do in any disasters or medical needs.

This was the first orientation so it mostly talked about the basics. Such as how to be officially part in this and what are the duties need to be fulfilled. It was mentioned in the orientation that every DRRM member most do their duties properly or else termination will be imposed. They must the usual roaming, and be on look out for individual's who might need medical help in terms of emergency, specially during and event.

Since the orientation was 5 hours straight, we were given snacks and bathroom breaks.

During the break, I even got enough time to braid my classmate's hair and she even took a video and pictures of me doing it.

The orientation was so productive, positive, and full of knowledge. I'm so excited to do my responsibilities to be officially part of the DRRM team. But anyway, after the orientation, my conyo baby and I ordered Jollibee to-go to end the day.
