Eagle One

Greetings, Fellow Feathered Flying Object Identifiers Of Various Success!

Do you suppose that's an eagle? Because I do.

There are many birds of prey in our region, and you can detect them often while driving along the countryside roads. Few are as large as this one, though. Unless you count storks. Which I shall show you again, next time. And there shall e an eagle in the story, again.

But this one, this one is a local. Flying above the hill south of town. Hard to take a photograph of, though. This was done from my car seat. I had to park at a convenient angle and zoom to the maximum with my...not that powerful zoom of 200 mm focal length on a cropped sensor camera.

Camera Settings:

Aperture F 4
Shutter Speed 1/400
Light Sensitivity ISO 200
Focal Length 200 mm

And then crop the original image some more. So that, at least in one of the images, we could see its eye.

And then, we have a few more shots that are not that sharp, not that close... but at least they give us the silhouette in the sky And some glimpse of a white collar in the bottom two images out of the four.

I might still be wrong about the kind of bird, since trained or even knowledgeable identifier I am not. If you are, please, tell me what you see!

Is it a plane? Is it Superman? Or any other character out of a comics strip?

Peace and Good Luck!

Yours,

Manol
